  • Keith will always be Grady Seasons to me. Go Grady!

  • Pool is about rhythm everyones is different its a comfort thing and its called getting in stroke .

  • Yes you can throw the ball with english but the farther you are from the object ball determines the distance you can throw the object ball if they are frozen i can throw the object ball as far as 6 inches in 9 feet.

  • 04:07 WTF

  • 22:55 ;O

  • "It's like a nightmare, isn't it?

  • this mccready guy would be annoying as hell to play against. likw playing someone wich nonstop seizures. would drive me crazy. and all that ranting too

  • @BeingNobody1956 watch danny basavich, aka kid delicious. at least mccready is fast.

  • @wimpylassiter2336 i dont like to watch fast pool players or players with eccentricities like earl. pool is like meditation to me. i dont like to watch or play chaos

  • @BeingNobody1956 yeah we just have different tastes. i like minnesota fats, you like willie mosconi. (to make an old-school comparison)

  • @wimpylassiter2336 nah, willie ran his mouth too much. i been playing for 40 years. i guess i'm old school but i aint no fossil

  • @BeingNobody1956 lol good point, ive read mosconi was a lil too easily angered. im only 19, but ive been playing since i was about 13.

  • beer - the breakfast of champions...

  • Keith has such a unique "stroke'. I used to always marvel how accurate he was with his sidewinder delivery. His home room was Bellflower Hardtimes in the 80's. I used to get a bleacher seat and enjoy the way he worked the crowd with his colorful antics. He played himself in The Color of Money.

  • i disagree with the fact that you will always come out behind on the push. incardona, every single time someone pushes, says that its a disadvantage to the pusher. at the pro level it may as a pro will almost always make correct mental decisions. at a lower level of play though, the pusher can frequently be a favorite as you can push to a place on the table that may cause your opponent to choose a lower percentage shot.

  • I love the way Keith plays and talks.

I adore the way Buddy strikes the balls so softly.

I admire the way Billy takes the viewers through eloquently.

But I am sorry to say, I don't like Wych's Canadian accent!

  • You are right and wrong. no it doesn't change the path of the cue ball, not by much anyway. but, once the cue ball makes contact with the object ball (the 5).

A carom using inside english would lengthin out the path of the object ball sending it to it's home. while hitting it with center sent it to the rail - Try it.

  • @davis4311 I highly disagree English had anything to do with the miss. English barely barely effects the rebound angle after contact with the object ball(5). Only with extreme English would you see visible changes, and even then, not much. Think about it, how could the two balls contacting for a split moment create enough friction to alter the path by a substantial amount? Spinning cue ball to rail has a huge effect because the friction is greater.

  • @ProdigyKimXP you dont know what your talking about your close though how hard you hit it and how much center you put on it will totally change the cue balls direction and ENGLISH WILL ADD TO THE NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE i guess you just don't pay that much attention.

  • @ProdigyKimXP If you hit slowly you can effect the direction of the object ball. When you hit hard the change in direction is negligible no matter how much english you put on the cue ball. However, hit softly and you can alter the angle of a shot slightly, but sometimes just enough to make a shot that would otherwise be impossible. You are correct that english off a bumper has a larger effect, but this is a totally different concept. It's called 'throw', look it up in a book.

  • @davis4311 watch?v=XirdmuSqxXM&feature=related

here's a quick, short explanation at the beginning showing that follow and draw effect cue ball path after contact with object ball, while sidespin effects trajectory after rail contact. English slightly slightly effects qb path after contact w/object ball, but it's so minimal most players don't even factor it into their positional play.

  • at 1330 keith uses the wrong english on the ball if he would have hit it with inside I guarantee the 5 7 carom would have gone, one of my favorite shots : )

  • @davis4311 He missed because his aiming was off. English does not affect the path the cue ball takes until it hits a rail. Draw and follow do.

  • @ProdigyKimXP DEFLECTION unless you have a preditor shaft your cue ball will move left or right and you can focus on english more that moving the cue YOU CAN SEMI MASSE WITH UR CUE LEVEL THAT MEANS SIDE SPIN AFFECTS THE PATH A QUE BALL IS TRAVELING. DEFLECTION

  • Dang! Buddy Hall is one BIG gentle giant with such a smooth game!

  • Keither with the ether strikes again!

  • LOL at 00:59 - 01:01 when ralf do the handgun (Y)

  • Danny D tells a funny story how McCready got kicked outta school. There were bullies in his gym class who knew McCready had cash on him,so McCready asked his Gym teacher to hold it for him. "Sure kid, how much?" "Twelve thousand dollars."He never went back........

  • yeah, but they suspended him or something, thought he was dealing drugs or something.

  • i prefer a pink 4 ball to the purple... it just seems brighter and weirdly fits in more

  • @RyanWatchesNaruto The brown 7 and black 8 are enough dark colors on the table. I agree the 4 ball being pink is good. It just feels right.

  • At ProfNines1, was Earl there?

    Earld would have robbed Keith.

  • nice rack!! 38:05

  • ohhh remember his face lol;;; he act in color of money,, a unique stance

  • i watched Mc cready walk into the green room at the SANDS tourney in Reno in 1991 and jumped up on a table at the direction of Bucktooth and yelleed any of you World Champions want race to 7 for 10 you got the 8 and NO ONE SAID A WORD how good could he really have been?

  • OMG...the trashiest announcers, the trashiest athletes!! love it

  • this is the drunkest sport ever

  • mcgready a good legend and a drunk loser too...

  • I know someone that used to be on the road with Mccreeady and said this guy is stupid cause he misses matches and very irresponsible

  • back in the early 80's these were two of the best 9-ball players, still great to watch these two play

  • Beautiful kick at 22:59

  • is mccready a rainman?

  • Can somebodt tell me why he's allowed to move the cue ball where he likes at 5.30. Sorry, i dont really know the Rules for American Pool.

  • the spots on the cue ball is the worst idea ever, takes away the magic. if you watch snooker its so much more enjoyble because the balss look like they are floating, its beautiful. take away the red spots and maybe even the numbers???

  • Mcready is such a great character. For the life of me i cant understand why ESPN devotes almost all it`s slots to WPBA events and Trick shots.I`m not saying i dont enjoy the wpba, but IMO the game the men play is much more exciting and fan friendly

  • Good grief! Could they find a more annoying announcer than this Jim character?

  • I actually got used to listening to Jim for awhile. He doesn't bother me as much as Billy Incardona or whatever the hell his name is. Billy is the one with the lower homo-erotic voice. He's fucking nauseating to listen to and should be fired from the booth. Once he starts, he never shuts the fuck up. God I can't stand that douchebag.

  • @natureboy84 i don't see anything wrong with incardona's voice. I don't like him that much as a commentator but his voice is totally normal.

  • earl gives allison the 6 ball.

  • nice match

  • I like watching McCready, he reminds me of Popeye. It's entertaining. He's still a great player though.

  • What a lag!!?? Craziness.

  • hey what a leg....never seen like that.......

  • Cigarette Time,lol.Love Keith.

  • its so funny to watch them play, seems like they are freestyling with no money involved.

  • Is that David Howard in the audience?

  • yes

  • McCready is so consistent making the one one the break...amazing

  • cant believe no one has commented about the 2 railer 9 ball shot at 7:43....reverse english. amazing

  • Greats like Reyes and Strickland are being placed next to women like Fisher and Lee, only for the reason that they're women. I'm all for equal opportunity and that women should be just as respected in what they do as men, but let's face it: If they really were equals at the game then we wouldn't need to have a separate league for women. If i were a female I'd stay away from the female leagues, especially those where the women spend more time on the fact that they're women instead of playing pool

  • a few years back the level of pool was pretty low...you can see it in the first rack

  • 20:19 ON THE SNAP VINCENT!!...hahaha

  • ''Rated E - For Everyone'' - USA is so funny sometimes...

  • McReady looks like he all geeterd up on something

  • why is the 4 ball pink for tv?

  • i think its because pink picks up better on tv than purple

  • cool it with the double cheese burgers there buddy

  • @stevesp101 its so you can tell the difference between the 2 ball and the 4 ball better

  • The purple 4-ball is hard to distinguish from the 8-ball.

  • That looks like the Fonz in the audience at 1:42.

  • >>>That looks like the Fonz in the audience at 1:42.

Believe it or not, that man's name is Ron Howard, IIRC. Ironic, huh?

  • Doh! David Howard. Too many years and too many dead brain cells. :)

  • what a shot at 23:02 nice shot I know there is some luck involved with that shot but not much. with his amazing skills and knowledge he was able to fabricate that shot.

  • Looking at McReady's mannerisms, I think he and snooker player Alex Higgins were separated at birth!

  • yeah i agree, keith and alex have very similar styles, it looks like they jump in every single shot but they still are excelent shot makers, they make strange faces while they are playing, and one more thing, they have serious drinking problems

  • Oh - I've been John Schmidt in a race to 5, efren in a race to five, Moro in a race to 7, have gone to the hill with Medina, yet, I'm not even worth the price of entry to legitimately compete as a BUSINESS decision in pro events. Its just reality that even with 120 - 117, tho efren IS better than strickland, the differences take even MORE than 237 games to decisively measure. You'll get a "feel" for it when you put your MONEY where you MOUTH is..

  • Um, Ferret..? Are you a girl? Could that POSSIBLY influence your bias? I think you need to realize that short races don't show who's better. Luck is greater than the difference in skill measured over short durations. What you need to see is if they ever GAMBLE with the men - and if so, do they EVER play even for sums that matter! The girls play alright - but there's no need for a WPBA if women are competitive equivalently to men..

  • I just came from the turning stone 9 ball event which Archer won. Many of the top pros were having trouble and missing balls. Those Diamond tables had pockets that were 1 inch tighter than normal. They also were not allowed to break from the rail. Bustamante missed some shots on those tables he would not usually miss.

  • is it a 9 foot table??

  • Of course.

  • amazing cue control, wow!

  • The only thing i can say is that Keith knows that he is amazingly good and just enjoys the game.Really fast and really loose.Hope one day be like him.Not the best ,just fast and loose and always enjoy pool no matter if i win or loose. Thanks Keith.By the way he reminds me Keith Moon...he is a FACE

  • 2 players past their primes and past their locale. they both belong in the pool roomp, playing for stakes

  • I've played McCreedy...(basically just handed over my money ;D) and I've also done some powder with him. He truley is a unique individual, and I'd still put my money on him any day...espically aginst you jokers!

  • BS Your a name dropper

  • cigarette time! (44:01)hahahahhahahhahaha

  • It is pretty ugly when you look at it, huh? I hardly notice it all anymore...

He started really young, you know. They say that's why that sort of thing develops.

    Anyway, obviously works for him.

  • Thanks for posting a great match between two well known and respected pocket billiard players. 5 stars

  • corr? LOL

  • you prove yourself as unknowledgeable by VIRTUE of referencing Corr or fisher, as women suck in comparison to men, so ignoring gender and reviewing pool by quality of play only, and versatility of the player.

  • Julie Kelly just beat Corey Duele. Karen Corr just beat some of the best men players in the turning stone 9 ball. Only advantage is the break.

  • Ferret, no offense, but you appear ignorant of the reality behind pool; slippery cloth, big pockets, and short sessions do not prove who's better. I've beaten efren in a race to 5, and I suck - but you're welcome to watch a clip of me playing on my profile. There is NO woman who can compete with the top 20 men of ANY year. There are easily 100 male players that Karen, Fisher and Kelly would decline to play even that you've NEVER HEARD OF. You just don't know what you're talking about.

  • Funny because just this year I watched Karen Corr beat many of the top men players in the world on the Joss 9 ball tour.

  • that's not funny, what truman says is 100% true.. although pool isnt about athletism exactly, women, even high class players, don't stand a chance against the "upper" mens' classes.

  • Truman, I beg to differ...yes, pool is a man's sport, but to say that there is NO woman who can take on any of the top 20 male players? You really don't think that Fisher, Corr, Jasmine Oshaun, Hoffstatter, or Kelly Fisher could beat ANY of them? YOU, my friend, appear ignorant, if you think that way. You think like a man and that's your problem.

  • Well if those women feel like they're better than the men, why are there NEVER, and I mean NEVER money matches between women a great players that are unhandicapped? Again, I've beaten 5-10 people who are AWESOME players in short matches -but thats not the same as saying I STATISTICALLY PREDICT I SHOULD WIN, which is what gambling states, and is a TRUE expression of confidence. Money.. is TRUTH serum. ALL the best men have rack runs of 6-10+ racks. ladies cant do that when playing on buckets!!!

  • LaLa Land. LOL Any decent short stop in the country would rob any of the top women players at 10 ahead for the money. A short race has too much luck in it. And forget about one pocket, any pool room has several shooters that would rob them. How many women are on the road matching up for money? None.

  • Jeanette gave Tater and Terry Stewart the 7 ball at DCC and won over 30,000 each time not sure exact amount. Both those guys are shortstop or low A players.

  • obviously you have NO IDEA who keith is... playing fast and loose is how he beat EVERYONE for Years and Years and Years. You're looking at a guy famous for putting big packages together 6's7's8's He's been a world beater since he was a kid BTW strickland and Bustamante ARE NOT considered "fast" players... Lou Butera would be though

  • @krumz06 Out of curiosity, what do you think of Tony Drago?

  • If these guys showed up in Savannah Ga, id put my main dog Billy "bad boy" sikes on em, and he give them the last three and wear them out!!! hell, id give em the last two!

  • youd give mcreedy the last two along with buddy hall?

  • ummmm...all in all pretty lame game. Something about watching a fat guy and a drunk playing 9-ball that doesn't quite give you the professional televised experience. This announcer is wayyy better than Danny Dilberto though, but holy shit, these "major events" need total fucking makeovers. evolve the televison experience!

  • i dont know what you guys are talking about

buddy hall is an amazing player- sure he isn't as good as he USED to be

but is still more than worthy to be considered an EXCEPTIONAL player

his bending kick! and his 2 rail position shot was very hard

  • wat is buddy playing with...lucasi?? plzz some 1 if u no fill me in

  • Yes, he is wearing a Lucasi shirt and the stick looks like a certain Lucasi design I have seen before. It's a good stick and no I don't work for them.

  • Lucasi is good cue stick but way overpriced for its playability.

  • these guys suck. tbh

  • LOL... mcreedey?? got d ugliest stroke ever.. so much body english.. well hall is too old i guess.. but efren and earl waaaaaay better than these two anyday...

  • i know huh? how can dudes get away with that kind of stroke..

  • Funny as hell how McCready's voice changed so much since The Color of Money!!

  • what kind of pool game is that? verry poor

  • poor game !

  • pool is very cool because makes my mind think a lot

  • 28:32

    Beer- The Breakfast Of Champions

    heh gotta love it

  • 50-something and still butting heads with the best in the world. Buddy is a hall-of-famer who will always be compared to the best nine ball players of all time.

McCready is the "poster child" for wasted tallent. If he hadn't spent most of the last decade in a drug and/or alcohol induced fog, he would have probably been the "Efren Reyes" of the 90s. Both of these guys were on the top of the pool world 20 years ago.

  • KEITHER WITH THE ETHER!!!!

  • bunch of dummies here,,,Buddy and keith obviously are over the hill,,,but you have to respect these guys for who they are,,,Buddy in his prime is unbeatable specially in money match..ask ole grady...

  • Ese gay es un payaso xD

  • too much mistakes for the level of pros

  • dude your freakin stupid buddy hall is a hall of famer, and keith mccready in the eighties was the best money player in the world. your all fucking stupid to insult them like that, you have absolutley no respect what so ever so fuck you and kiss my fucking ass. you must be the real wannabes because you dont even know who your insulting dumbasses.

  • I have a tremendous amount of respect for Buddy, but I hate to say it...

I want the last 50 mins of my life back!

It actually looked like I was watching some monkeys play from the pool hall!

  • Buddy is good player

  • Two of the best players that ever lived and most of you have no respect. If you think they don't play very well you can put your money up and play either one of them. I know they would be glad to take your money.

  • Mcready is a rowdy drunk. They will find him dead in a gutter one day

  • The accouncer "says keith mcready back again what his nose in front again". Think hes insualting him.

  • Uncharacteristic play by both sides in this game...

  • lol!

yeah, hall and mccready are real nobodies in the world of pool :-D

  • LOL, riiiiiight.... ;)

  • Do you see Buddy Hall's shoes, neither does he.

  • LOL! that's harsh but a great joke

  • how come this table has smaller pockets than the other ones?

  • these guyz r amateurs , i mean look at the first 3 racks , there has been like 10 misses

  • mccready is like a squirrel on speed lol

  • kieth mccready at one time was probalbly the best player in the world.

  • That McCready guy is like mix of Simon Cowell and Patton Oswald. Ugly sight anyway...

  • Ta for another great match (y)

  • salVAS of course, typo trying to be too quick ;-)

  • thanks for all these video's Bclub! you really filled up some boring afternoons and nights for me ;-)

i have a request though: the luc salvis vs. strickland match. that HAS to be exciting to watch, just for the speed of play :-D please!

  • Another full length match between legends of the sport, nothing could be more appreciated!

  • hell of an open lag. nice

  • I talk to myself when I'm on. I can talk myself into a crucial shot that I might pass up otherwise. It's known locally that if I'm drinking Red Bull and talking to myself, I came to play.

  • I don´t like this mccready guy, he is weird, keeps talking to himself during the match...that guy has serious problems...

  • plenty of people talk to themselves during matches. mccready is a character, thats all there is to it.

  • his role in "The Color of Money" wasn't much of a stretch. That's pretty much exactly how he is.

  • drinking beer during the match. Thats funny.

  • 1ST!
