The origins of rock are what made it great, okay some modern bands are good, but lack originality. he joined sum 41 becouse of the songs deryck wrote in the first few albums, heavier music, after deryck starting writing, in my opinion, more proffesional music he left becouse he didn't get to play hardrock songs anymore, dave is now in the brown brigade or something, playing hardrock only

therefor i actually like Tom, he enjoys being in sum 41 about a million times better, and you have to go and see him play the introsolo of 'master of puppets' live. Best guitarwork ever
