@VFVFCo68 I think that's only with Ferrara trucks. They have the Ferrara name on the grille lit up. They're on I think every ferrara truck.

In the state of Tn. the law states that a safe speed and due reguard to the public. So the is no number limit on speed. I've seen our city police dept. bust or station at a 120 mph. at 3 A.M. Emergency traffic with no traffic or anything around.

it might sound weird but 95% of any type of emergency vehicle the state will not allow them to go more than 5 over the speed limit....however since they enforce the laws and protect life and property they dont perticularly enfore these rules and regulations im a volunteer firefighter in missouri for a fire district and we are not allowed to do more than 5 over but we do around 15 over depending on the time of call, type of call, and traffic

@DUSTY1373 it actually depends where you live. Where i live, we're aloud to go over the speed limit by 30 mph, But between 5-7 PM and 4-6 AM, we are only aloud to go 15,, we can go over is the road is clear.

@BuckBoy55 Every emergency vehicle should attempt to make a full stop or at least slow down at a stop sign or red light just in case someone would run into them. That doesn't mean that apparatus always do stop but they should.

The Q (Q2B) an electromechanical siren that is really loud and can be heard from far away and produces 123 decibels at 10 feet. It's the siren that is coming from the last 2 trucks and is mounted on the front bumper on all of the trucks (looks kinda cone shaped).

i hate the rule that even if u have sirens u have to stop at intersections if u don't have the rite away....i can see u doing it if ur at a blind intersection but when ur out in the open where everyone can see u wut's the point of it?

Becuase not everyone sees you all the time. It helps prevent accidents. Trust me, I have ran code many times and the fact people cannot see the lights or hear the siren never ceases to amaze me. Plus there are instances where people freeze up and dont know what the hell they need to do.

yeah,not a rule. In San Jose,California they have to send 7 trucks as 2nd,3rd and 4th alarm units and 8 for full first alarm units. 3 engines 2 trucks 2 chiefs and med 30.
