  • Beauty to my soul.

  • beautiful

  • Being somewhat of a musician myself, I like all kinds of music. I remember as a child in elementary school, we went on a field trip to see an orchestra. I remember being profoundly impacted by the sound, and how well all the musicians worked together to perform. Along life's rocky road somehow I forgot all about symphony. It is only recently that I have become a huge fan again, thanks largely in part to the variety of Youtube!

  • i came here because of zangief.

  • I have listened to a lot of classical music classic rock ect..... but this song strikes me every time. This is what music should be like, and it is a shame that it is all but dead.

  • This is like Heavy Metal =]~~~

  • Now this is real music PEOPLE :)

  • Beginning to this song is so powerful

  • i hope my neighbours like it..

  • mister tchaikovsky, i thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful experience!

  • I just love it

  • You say Justin Bieber I say this guy,

You say Jelly Roll Morton (ragtime composer) I say Debussy

You say the Beatles I say some other guy from this era

99.999999999% of kids these days only listen to music from the past 100 years. Clearly REAL music came form the 19th century and past.

  • @jokkergar lol, some little boy can't understand sarcasm.

  • @Rao665 seriously shut the fuck up, nobody cares. ur not cool for liking a certain kind of music.

  • @Rao665 you couldn't even name a third composer you poseur.

  • @Gitarpunk looks like you take things too seriously poseur.

  • the pictures are bonkers but the music is fucking amazing..I LOVE you, Tchaikovsky <3 <3

  • make me cry ... snif

  • The video is pure schizophrenia, but this is a good recording.

  • Such music dreams are made upon.

  • I love finding a new favourite :)

  • Simply amazing. I remember first hearing that song at the beautiful "Teatro Municipal" from Rio de Janeiro. The maestro was Roberto Mintchuk.

  • TCHAIKOVSKY WAS GAY.... No really, he was gay and sometimes in his music you can hear him longing to be with his student who was a male. It's deep stuff and very very beautiful.

  • @DeeVeeSone Does this carry any relevance?

  • @DeeVeeSone hmmm....interesting point. can you point out at what song made you feel so ?

  • @DeeVeeSone While you are obsessed with his sexual life, the rest of us musicians are attmepting to understand his ART.

  • Fantástico!! Simplesmente Fantástico!! Amazing!!!

  • Who needs porn when you have this....

  • @KurenaiKokoro LOL!

  • LOL

  • @KurenaiKokoro tchaikovsky + porn = profit????

  • dumb people that dont listen to classical music dont know what they are missing.

  • @Frost1111ful dumb people who*

    Yea, im a grammar freak

  • Comment removed

  • @krazycoolyoda629 actually "that" could arguably be correct, for @Frost1111ful was referring to a group of people, namely the "dumb" ones.

  • fucking epic...FUCKING EPIC....FU..CKING...E...PIC...

  • @sa9s9r38ufmfm you should hear Blu rap on Show Me the Good Life. it's pretty classy, man.

  • In Soviet Russia, you no play moosique, moosique play YOU!

  • @MediaClubGroup russia wasn't soviet when tchaikosvy was composing. he was friends with the Tsar.

  • @hopelesscynic1 Actually, the english word, "dumb" is originally defined as in the Webster dictionary as closely associated to the word, "stupid," indeed, and your word, "dum" is in fact not a word in the first place.

  • @krazycoolyoda629 yeh i actually found that out AFTER i corrected you. sorry, teenager grammar has polluted my lexis.

  • @krazycoolyoda629 And while we're at it and you feel you need to continue to assert grammatical dominance and superiority over people who do not care, allow me to set you straight.

You do not need the comma before "dumb," "stupid," nor "dum."

Your first use of "as" has no meaning if you include the second use as well.

The first time you say "indeed" is redundant when followed by "in fact."

    "English" is always capitalized.

"in the Webster dictionary" = nonessential clause = commas

  • @hopelesscynic1 meanwhile in teh Russian Empire.....

  • @MediaClubGroup lol good thing Tchaikovsky never lived in Soviet Russia

  • @brothodontist then music would play him instead....talk about mind fuck...o.o

  • @MediaClubGroup

All these musicians were born in Monarchy, long before Soviet union.

  • The emotions this serenade is surging with are beyond words... Beyond description

  • 51 people are uncultured and can't appreciate beautiful music.

  • @nilesheather on the plus side 3,460 people can appreciate beautiful music

  • I'm 18 and you probably don't care. Great music though.

  • People seem to always have a problem with me when I say this - I love Tchaikovsky's music (classical). Yet I also like Technical Death Metal (such as Fleshgod Apocalypse / IMMOLATION) and (Old) Reggae (like Bob Marley). Personally I believe all 3 genres seem to be the only genres (to my knowledge) which actually think before making music (Pop/Rap seem to be ran by retarded kids) all the songs either have an emotional / political etc etc reason behind it etc.

  • What's all with the multi-colored pictures of Tchaikovsky?

  • @SoundWhirl tchaikovsky acid trip hahahah

  • @roberto60s lol

  • why isn't today's music like this anymore ... ;(

  • watch?v=YLHtT8kzCY0 Serbian music

  • Qué hermoso, mi orquesta está ensayando esta música y la verdad es un poco complicada en los tiempos, pero aspiramos a que salga bien después de mucho trabajo. Grande Thaikovsky

  • I bet Mozart would have been green with envy...

  • This is fncking amazing....

  • música del alma

  • when i played this.... couldnt help but get lost in it :)

  • oh just shut the fuck up with all the hate and just listen to the music.

  • This reminds me of HAnnibal Lecter in his cell with blood on his mouth after biteing and killing the guards, dancing..

  • On Facebook, my friend changed her last name to Beiber. I changed mine to Tchaikovsky.

  • Kids my age don't understand music!

  • @GersonoetRiessen actually, i am in the orchestra at east kentwood high school and i am probably responsible for about 60-70 views on this vid :) but i like ur taste :P

  • @MrLiber8or i also like ccr, the beatles, bob dylan, led zeppelin, and that other kind off stuff:D

  • Can you imagine being five years old and tring to learn how to spell your name when your name Tchaikovsky?

  • @TheMightyPandah then yet again, he was a Russian... Tchaikovsky is probably not thaat unusual in Russia... it is also spelled different in Russia... just saying xD

  • For a genius like him, it probably wasn't that hard.

  • THIS MUSIC IS TERRIBLE

Now that I got your attention, this music is wonderful.

  • @HybridD91 Hahahah!!!!!!!!!!! You funneh!

  • @HybridD91 hahahahaaa you funny bastard

  • @HybridD91 haha, you got me.

  • @HybridD91 ahhahaha good one!

  • Justin Bieber: I was sent by God to make music.

Tchaikovsky: What? I sent no one.

  • @ConnivingEagle It's criminal putting two of them in even a same sentence!

  • @ConnivingEagle Dude stop letting out your frustration over how you dont get a girlfriend let you hate on some kid musician (bieber). Get a life god dammit !

  • @iamatumor Dude stop attacking non-offensive comments because you live a shitty life. Go outside, troll.

  • @ConnivingEagle Offensive isnt an issue here, inappropriatenes (of a stupid kind) is.

  • @ConnivingEagle Tchaikovsky: "Ludwig, Richard, Johan Sebastian come here and hit this asshole kid please and be mercyless, by the way Ludwig is expert in Boxing"

  • @seponvi by johan sebastian do u mean bach

  • @ryuulover98 exactly, expert in "baroque" judo for disgrace of Justin Bieber

  • @ConnivingEagle Who's Justice Beaver?

  • @ConnivingEagle yeah, yeah, it's funny to compare Tchaikovsky to God. He's good and all but let's face it, he's no Tchaikovsky.

  • I can tell somebody likes photoshop! :)

  • great song

  • but not as bad as the twit who cannot solo spell, thought,,ignorant cow

  • The chords at the beginning give me the chills... Love this song!

  • This is my absolute favorite piece to play. I am a high school bassist and the way that this piece is written challenges all parts and gives each section some thing interesting to play in stead of a constant droning d, or something like that. this a truly fantastic piece of music.

  • good lord....I can feel every bit of emotion in this piece...This..this is truly music.

  • such a beatiful passionate work.

  • Kids my age don't understand music!

  • @GersonoetRiessen I'm 14 and I LOVE classical music, its all that mainstream stuff being pumped into their brains that make them think this music is boring.

  • @GersonoetRiessen

Glad I'm not the only one.

  • ES DEMASIADO FABULOSO!

  • Beautiful quality.

Definitely one of my favorite pieces,

    Thanks AndrewgrummanJC for uploading

  • Αυτο ειναι πραγματικη μελωδικη μουσικη!

  • No escucho musica clasica pero esto es hermoso.

  • true love <3 thank you for uploading such beautiful music

  • It seems like the score for the movie cast away was influenced by this piece.

  • OK, one will listen this, others will prefer something else. There is good and bad taste in every style. It happens Mr Pyotr hits the hearts so profoundly one may feel uncomfortable to admit it's bleeding. Fortunately users may access their favorite songs - or whatever it's called - and enjoy. I will be in the company of Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Ravel, Stravinsky, but also Beatles, Gershwin and Kern.

  • /watch?v=bwztlaFgL3I I did a cover of starlight nights.

  • genius!

  • I WANT TO MARRY THIS SONG AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!

  • LOL

  • Producers nowadays milk up hip hop, which, to me, is not music, neither ''art''. It's fast talking. If Tchaikovsky saw what's happening now, he would probably say we have no musical education. The man would have been so right. We don't, because we put rap next to music. And yes, metal is actually better, because people there actually have MAJOR knowledge about classical and opera music, because they can play and read notes, and many metal vocalists consider classical music as influence!

  • @IronFistRebelSoul To insinuate that rap isn't art is naive. Rap is foremost about lyrics- and many rappers (though, admittedly, not all) employ complex meter and speak volumes on the social issues facing the urban community. No, rap music isn't comparable to the masterpieces of Tchaikovsky- but the production values often incorporate advanced instrumentation. You should just appreciate the music being played- not use the comment section as a medium to tell people you like metal and hate rap.

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • Belissímo.

  • i love the serious pictures that are always displayed LOL

  • @happyghost2011

How woefully ignorant of the world and its inhabitants can you be?

As a person of ethnic origin I find it laudable that opinions like yours can still be voiced with any level of factus.

Then again, I guess you would be one of the 'average' Caucasians whose IQ is significantly lower than his/her Black/Hispanic/Asian/*Insert race* counterpart.

Do us all a favour and keep your Neanderthal opinion to yourself. Better yet, go throw yourself under a train and do the world a favour.

  • @leechadders Your anger (at the time of your comment) proves that the lamp had blown out in your mind. Let us love one another and live in peace to the best our ability. Blessed are the peace-makers!

  • @DerrickthePinecone

I appreciate your comment, and on some levels, you are indeed correct. :) How about directing your comments to the previous post eh?

  • @leechadders 'as a person of ethnic origin' who the fuck is not of ethnic origin? wow, what a remarkably intelligent you've posted. go suck a nigger's cock half breed leech.

  • The russian school always has it's way of getting to me. There is just something so tasty about it, isn't there? Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky? Yes. Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert are like chocolate, but the russians are like cake.

  • Superb! TY andrew for posting.

  • i finally found this music!!!!! such a relief to hear this song too

  • this is an uterly amazing piece

  • Wonderful Tchaikovsky's music. 5/5 * and favourited.

  • *stupid agruments aside*----- Tchaikovsky was born with music encoded into his DNA. therefore: this is LITERALLY his blood, sweat, and tears!!

  • OMG I can't explain my happiness right now. This music is miraculous!

  • When you think, like I do, that people are created by God and can get inspired by Him then it is not hard to assume that God gives us the music (ideas) we produce. God is the director/giver, we are the antennas and executers. You always see beautiful music/art is from a divine source and ugly, evil music is from another source. But since God is love, peace and all good, negative music or art can not come from a good source like God.

  • @royalsteven I agree, that music comes for a higher force in the universe and we are just executioners. But I disagree that there is a thing like "ugly" or even "evil" music. Lyrics may try to be evil but not the music. Music can be brutal and agressive, but given the right place and time it's exactly what suits the situation, so it is perfect beauty. To put it in Christian wording, music can describe the wrath of god... but nothing is outside the "everything" which god is supposed to be...

  • I certainly believe it is about the musician's intentions of creating the art. You have happy music with positive lyrics (religeous music) and with negative (gangsterap). The person always choses to execute the thoughts/ideas/sphere within him/her. You see this mostly with genres like gospel music (wanting to create and give a positive message and let's pick death or black metal (wanting to spread a hatefull and negative message. So in that sense I believe in good and evil music and intentions.

  • Same with inspiration. Do you choose to draw from yourself, earthly desires or your ego or a higher deeper source. I think in spiritual ways.

  • Tchaikowsky alcançou a esfera angelical e infernal. Com a linguangem de ambas reconstruiu a razão do mundo existir, onde a paixão prevalece tal as asas de um enorme pássaro que voa alto e contempla todo o drama chamado vida.

  • Check out The Best of Russian Composers (Glinka to Shostakovich)

  • In soviet russia, music write you!

  • Hey there, I have a question. I'm interested in classical music but I've read that you have to listen to the story, that every piece has it's story. How exactly do you do that? I just don't get it.

  • @RavensOfMyFuneral it's open to interpretation. Just like a song now has lyrics which tell a story (at least good music, not crappy pop shit), classical music can tell a story too.

  • beauty!

  • Bravo!
