  • Very helpful video

  • We do make as much oil, the problem is that it is not distributed evenly through our hair because of the coil patterns.

  • That is the best way girls please take this advice use only conditioner

  • I really enjoyed watching your video. I do something very similar to what you did when you had shorter hair. I will give your regimen a try. My hair is about 2 inches long and I plan to let it grow out. Sometimes, I get discouraged with the process and I continue searching for products that will give me the look I want..softer curls, shiny healthier looking hair and nice looking curl pattern. I hope to find that with your regimen. Thanks again for such a great video. You look great!

  • Hi! This video is great and u r adorable. :)

I have a question: I have naturaly curly hair and i wear it curly everyday, but in order to get my hair curly i have to wet it everyday. I dont wash it everyday just wet it. I dont use shampoo often, i do use conditioner. (im mixed btw). But my question is is just rinsing my hair with water everyday bad for my hair?

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! This video help me out a ton! I have short and THICK natural hair and I didn't know that it was good to co-wash your hair everyday, I found out the hard way that shampoo is extremely drying to natural hair. Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with knots on individual strands of hair....I'm really trying to grow my hair out (ideally to your length)but the knots seem to keep setting me back . I actually do detangle my hair but my curl pattern is so tight?

  • Thanks so much, a lot of people dont say too much about a TWA. A

TWA to a lot of people on here is hair about 2" on up. What about the ones like me, less than 2" because I just BC'd about 6 weeks ago. I appreciate your explaining how your washed your hair when it was shorter. Look at it now, WOW, so beautiful. Be blessed.

  • thanx for this

  • OMG! We have the sane hair regiment... We must be doing something right... i will subscribe!

  • Thanks for the tip on the castile soap. I just cut my hair and went BACK to natural after 6 years. I have some old, new and hand-me-down product but wasn't sure on what to do after my salon visit. It's winter too, so that washing daily will not be a good look. I also have a new baby so time is of the essence! Wish me luck!

  • Thank you! Very helpful especially the info about how to shampoo natural hair!

  • i just did my bc'd last week and im loving it so far! first of all: your hair is gorgeous and i love your personality and attitude! second of all: is it okay if i comb my hair while i have conditioner in or should i leave the comb alone? fyi: my hair is about 1 to 2 inches

Thank you and Be Blessed :-)

  • thank you :) ... i say brush or comb away when you have conditioner in but only if you don't want the curls to define or get loopy. personally when my hair was short I RARELY combed through 'cause i loved the little drinking straw curls that would develop. hope that helps.

  • thanks for making this!!!

question: i moisturize my hair with Shea Butter everyday, so won't co-washing daily add build up to my hair?? The shampoo I use does have sulfates(i dont want to buy more until i use it all up), and my hair isnt soft when i rinse it out, but i always put the moisture back in with deep conditioning and moisturizing...

  • nitachantell, my current regimen is similar to yours, moisturizing it everyday w/ shea butter. co-washing won't cause build-up as long as you rinse it out. if you like to leave CO in, then either use a leave-in CO or dilute your regular CO w/ water (CO: water ratio of 1:5 is suggested, at mn). standard CO have more waxes & emollients that can cause build-up if left in. i'll email u my current regiment. it's very simple, but i don't want to take up all the comments on glam's video. *L*

  • Thanks for the video. I use the same system...I love wash n go!

  • THANK U SO MUCH !!!

  • thank you. you helped me..

  • yay! :)

  • you are soooo pretty

    :)

  • aww shucks *blush*

  • What made you want to change your routine when your hair got longer? I found using a sulfate-free or no sodium lauryl or no laureth sulfate shampoo really helpful too than using a regular shampoo on my natural hair. When I run out of the stuff I'm using now (JASON Natural Sea Kelp Moisturizing Shampoo) I'm going to try Dr. Bonner's Castile Soap. I got a sample at Target for $2. I want to see if it works on my hair before I invest in a larger bottle.

  • hey there! as my hair got longer i don't wear it wash-n-go- as much so my routine to include more detangling. also i tend to put my hair into styles that last for a month+ so when it comes out it's time to deep condition, expecially in the winter.

  • Yes! Thank you!!! I went out and bought the Castille soap yesterday and I love it.
