@manmanguy that's why the union contractors are getting the biggest, most profitable jobs and union workers make less now than they ever have while speeding production.
You are a JOKE! I worked for a union for 14 years. The only thing a union worker was speedy at was clocking out. The only thing the union was good at was taking the workers money and sending it to washington for their own agenda!!!
I have worked both Union and Non union jobs.As a union tree trimmer in 1997/1998 I made scale pay at 17.65 hourly just to feed the chipper. As a non union for a short 6 months in 96 i made about 6.50 per hour and was treated like a non human.Fact. I have the paychecks to prove it.
@kshredder31 Wal Mart pays it's employers comparable wages to union shops doing the same type of work. That's a fact and no one is forcing people to work at Wal Mart. Unions are princibly thugs who rob and cheat. They want to get better pay than the prevailing economy will allow and that's not economically possible. Simply stated they try to defy the laws of economics. They've helped to destroy industry and have bankrupted CA, NY, NJ and several other states. Unions are a bad deal.
@kshredder31 No one is forcing people to work at Walmart. Unions have destroyed the Steel Industry, Auto Industry, Education (public), and many other industries and organizations. They have bankrupted many states and localities. The whole reason Silicon Valley even exists is that they are in a non-union environment. If there were Unions in Silicon Valley all the companies would pack up and leave. Unions try to defy the laws of economics and that's not possible.
@juscurious Really? Actually nonunion greedmongers have bankrupted American businesses. It all started when foriegn companies were allowed to sell their products freely in the US with little tariff imposed.Combine thant with slave labor and it is easy to see why American industry could not compete.UNIONS are a GOOD thing.I want fair compensation for work performed.Would you drive a cement mixer or trash truck for 12 dollars an hour?Thats the going rate at non union companies.
@kshredder31 Yes really. Markets determine wages and prices. You are worth what you can command in the marketplace. Foreign Companies do not have Slave Labor. Slavery is involuntary labor. In those makets the wages they get are also as a result of labor. The US is not self sufficient and we must deal with a world wide trading system. UAW workers are paid so much more than other industrial workers doing the same jobs. Every industry that's unionized is is trouble or failing. How is that good?
@kshredder31 And one more thing. I suggest you invest some time in economics courses. If you understand the way market prices and market mechanisms work you might not be so dogmatic. Yes it's difficutt to see people in the UAW who use to get big fat paychecks and nice pensions be put out of work or be forced to give back some of the benefits they felt they were intitled to. But the world doens't owe you anything. Look around you on the highway at all the Toyotas, Hondas, etc. Deal with reality.
@juscurious I am dealing with reality. The reality is companies want slaves to maximize profits. If the rich keep taking from the poor and working, the poor will bring them to their level to share the misery. The most prosperous time in America was when Unions dotted the landscape.
@kshredder31 No you aren't dealing with reality, you are dealing with fantasy. The rich aren't taking from the poor. That's a fairy book Robin Hood Tale. And you need to define what constitutes rich. How much do you have to have to be considered rich? Even in the heyday of Unions, most workers weren't in Unions. Were farmers ever in a union? Unions do nothing but promote mediocracy. They hold back the talented. Why did people move to Toyota and Honda? Unions have destroyed CA, NY, NJ, etc.
@juscurious So what you are saying is I deserve to make half the money I make right now.I make scale at 22.50 hourly with benefits. The people in the same business I am in make half as much at the nonunion companies.12.00 hourly to be exact. We are friends and we share this information. If a man or woman works their ass off, they deserve to be compensated fairly.I dont see that as a reality with no representation.
@kshredder31 You are worth what you can command in the marketplace. That's why LeBron James makes a lot more money than the average player. Teams are willing to pay more for a player like him. If a company can compete in the marketplace paying you and others what they are paying, then great. Bully for you. But if wages or other costs get higher than their competitors, then something will need to give. For the record I've always bought American Cars out of patroitism. But not everyone is like me.
@juscurious Thats where you are wrong. You can take a great worker, then take a major employer, put them in a rural area where jobs are scarce, then command wages 10 percent or lower from what they would be in a major city.At my job I make my company thousands every day. ,But so do the non union employees for half the wage. Its America becoming third world. Its all based on greed by employers.
@kshredder31 Well we agree on something. We are becomming a third world country. But that's because of an insane immigration policy that we've had for 40 years. We won't defend our borders and this ties into wages and such. Illegal immigration distorts labor markets. They supress wages and this had hurt labor more than any other thing. And only 6% of illegals work in agriculture. This is what organized labor should focus on but they've sold out to immigration lobby.
@kshredder31 Rubbish. Unions didn't have much to do with the elimination of Child Labor laws as I recall from history. I'm not an expert on this but most of the child labor in the United States was in argiculture. Yes there were children who worked in factories but I don't think Labor Unions had much to do with this. This is just an example of Labor Unions trying to polish up their tarnished reputations.
@juscurious Then you must not know your history. In the 1800's,mining in the west was done by child labor as young as 13 forced to work all day in mines.I have worked both union and non union jobs. I have always made twice as much at a union job vs a non union job.
@kshredder31 Not denying there was child labor. I don't see where the Labor Unions were instrumental in getting out front in pushing laws against child labor. They simply were not to my knowledge out front on this issue. Now I'll admit that this is a slice of history that I'm not all that familiar with but if you have some sources where I can read about this, I'd like to know. At least I've NEVER heard that labor unions were a big factor in the advance of child labor laws.
@juscurious Whatever man. Ive worked both Union and Nonunion jobs and I can say the union version of the same job paid twice as much.I can verify with paychecks.
@kshredder31 For how long? If an employer is paying twice the wages, then those costs are passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices. If the consumer has a choice of equal products with one being a higher cost than the other, they will choose the lower cost item. This is simple economics and Unions have tried forever to defy the laws of economics. It won't work or won't work for long. Unions can only work long term for public employees where there is no competition. Case closed!
@juscurious No case not closed. When the car companies shipped out to Mexico for cheap labor, the price of the cars and trucks stayed the same or went even higher.Do you think a tree trimmer should make minimum wage?Ive worked both union and non union as a tree trimmer. It is hazardous and requires knowledge. If Amercans work for nothing, they buy nothing, and the economy collapses.Case closed.
@kshredder31 Look around you on the highway at all the imports. When US car companies went to Mexico that enabled them to save many US manufacturing jobs by lowering costs. Without that US workers would have lost more jobs. When I was in Mexico, I saw more US cars (by %) than I do in CA or MA. Mexico buys many US cars. You can't defy the economic laws. If costs get too high consumers will seek alternatives (imports) & then you will lose more jobs. We've lost too much manufacturing already.
@juscurious We lost manufacturing because of NAFTA and Bush policies.Lowering the standard of American workers is not what most Americans want. The Right to work goons and Republicans would love to enslave us all.The only thing stopping them are Unions.
@kshredder31 Wrong. NAFTA has not had a big of a effect on American workers because it only affects US, Canada, & Mexico. That's not where the trade deficit is. Most of the trade problem is with Asia and some with Europe. We were losing Manufacturing Jobs long before NAFTA passed. Just look around you on the highway & look at the shelves in your stores. Everything seems to be made in China. Japan still imports many cars. Our industries need to be competitive. You can't defy laws of economics.
@juscurious Actually,a lot of the companies that are in Mexico are owned by Chinese corporations.Unions are a good thing.Without them there is NO voice that is heard. If I were working for a non union employer it would be a master slave relationship.By having a Union some of the power shifts to employee allowing a more favorable working condition.YOU WILL NEVER CONVINCE ME THAT A UNION IS A BAD THING FOR A WORKING MAN. A "conservative" republican is the downfall of America.
@juscurious Dude..unions by there VERY existence shut that shit down...Child sweat shops are non-union..Unions aint havin that...lol....Seriously...yiu are working class...Look out for YOUR interests...Not the Interests told to you by some rich Fatcat..
Really!! I would like to know of one child labor sweat shop (non-union or not) that has been in existence for the past thirty years or more. That game is over and so is riding on the backs of the rest of us. unions have been a corporation for the past 25 years and are only in it for the money. They know they have to act like they are for the working man or else the working man will stop paying his union dues.
@dogdoom Hey some of those fat cats might just be you your damn Union your granny your granpa .Its called Corporations and a LOT are held by retirement funds Check yours out you silly stockholder you ,and when that corp goes under and you are looking at social security tell me where's your interests then .Union dont give a damn about you or me they care about that due you pay when you stop paying they go away.I seen it a lot .Ask the retiree's from Chrysler
all I see is my union money disappear while notthing gets done with it. All they are is a fucking collection group to pay off their big fat higher-up union jerkoffs that don't fight for anything and just hand out pointless union jobs/postions to family members. Yet my dues continue to rise and for what???? I
@Steelerzblow Yes, they are a criminal shake down organization. It's that simple. What unions exsit for is to benefit the people who run the Unions. Where else can uneducated thugs make $500K/year. They could never command that money in the general economy. That's the sole purpose of Unions today. Maybe they were necessary in the 1920's but not today. The world has changed.
Those who stand up for and protect the right to work (without union coercion and fraud) are just keeping corrupt union thugs accountable. But the corrupt union thugs refuse to be accountable for their tyranny of employees that they fraudulently claim to represent.
In texas and other southern states many of the home owners now fly the japanese flags in front of there homes. Stop the bleeding of USA Jobs. Buy Domestic American Made in stores and on line. Dont be like a Judas like many have become to there own country. USA country first!!!
They shouldn't, of course. This group exists to bash unions--while trying to force the "right" to work in places where they receive better benefits and salary, BECAUSE OF THE UNION. Union intimidation isn't a problem, there is VASTLY more anti-union intimidation, they are fine with that, companies intimidating workers AGAINST the union. Tom Petty would vomit at your use of his song for union bashing.
I have a problem with unions using force and fraud to deny workers the rights to their own earnings... or even the right to keep their job. Workers need protection from unions far more than they need their fraudulent and coercive "representation".
This group exists to protect the rights of workers that unions willfully and fraudulently violate. Unions are scum that must be discipline from spoiled rotten brats.
Check into where they get their funding. Why do they not allow for freedom of speech on many of their other vids? Why do comments need to be approved if they are for EVERYone's rights?
Why should workers be FORCED into a greedy, corrupt, abusive union just so the union can brainwash them with empty promises and hatred of employers and businesses?
Dispicable lies. There is NOTHING oppressive about belonging to a union. If your specific PEOPLE were bad, you should have elected better ones, union leadership is ELECTED BY THE MEMBERS, they're not dictators you cannot touch, of course. That's no oppression.
Many union organizers are arrogant thugs that violate the rights of employees and employers. Their recruitment system rewards coercion, intimidation, and fraud. Their use of coercively collected dues for political contributions shows their lust for power... rather than any respect for rights or freedom.
How is it that unions are the biggest contributors to political campaigns, political committees, and leftist initiatives. Unions are embezzling their funds to support tyranny and corrupt the political system.
LMFAO What a twisted little world you live in! Open the shades - get outside - see reality! Unions make up 12% of the workforce and you're claiming that they outspend Big Business? Check out how much Big Oil alone has contributed! The more you write, the more delusional you appear.
In this top ten, Big Business has a total of over 62 million while the Unions have under 5 million. I could add all day, but, it would make you look even sillier.
Following is the 2008 list of Top Contributers USING YOUR SOURCE: 1 ActBlue 2 Goldman Sachs 3 JPMorgan Chase & Co 4 AT&T Inc 5 Citigroup Inc 6 National Assn of Realtors 7 Intl Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 8 Morgan Stanley 9 General Electric 10 Microsoft Corp LMAO Nobody's asking you to shed tears, just be honest and get informed. You're really "out there".
The "Right to Work Law" basically means if you work under a union contract you can enjoy the high wages and benefits negotiated by the union but you don't have to pay dues. Essentially your cutting your nose to spite your face. We've all heard the phrase "pay your dues", now you know what it means and why it's important.
That makes no sense. In an RTW state, a worker can work, free from having to pay the union money as a condition of employment (dues). They do have to pay a "core fee" of dues though. The argument being, the union does not use your dues money *only* for collective bargaining, they spend it on "marketing" or on supporting socialist politicians who you may not support.
It make clear sense. If you're getting paid $22/hr at your union job but not paying dues, you're screwing yourself and your coworkers. As more people adopt this naive point of view the union loses funding and can no longer afford to protect your bargaining agreement. At last your "right" to not pay dues has left you earning $14/hr and that wage is artificially supported by the few remaining competing union jobs. What do you think would happen if everyone stopped paying taxes.
This video must be some kind of MadTV sketch... I can't believe these people are saying this with a straight face.
Compare pay checks, medical insurance, job safety, respect, job security, training and pride between a Rat and a Union Member. The poor Rat loses everytime.
I was gonna respond, but I have no clue what the hell your talking about, anyways, you don't have the balls to say anything to any union member, so just keep crying over the computer.
If it was up to be, all unions would be outlawed, declared to be terrorist groups, then hammered with both RICO and the Patriot Act. Their assets and property would be seized, their members and supporters would be executed or sent to Gitmo to do butt pyramids with their mudscum butt buddies.
how much do you understand about unions, what they do, and why they were created? I see major problems with several of the unions, the way they have operated, and they lobbying powers they have. but at thier core, the unions were created to benefit the working man.
Unions were started by weak pathetic losers who were too cowardly to talk to their bosses as man to man on their own. If workers don't like the way they're being treated, they can quit and find another job, move to where better jobs are, or learn some new skills and make themselves smarter so they can get a better job. That's how you do it, not join some legalized marxist extortion racket outfit, which is what unions are, always have been and always will be. Get it douchebag?
It's business, one guy makes widgets and he needs 100 people to make the widgets. Those 100 people agree to help as long as they are compensated for a certain amount. If your looking for slave labor move to China.
You are a sick person and probably a danger to society.
Your violent, racist, christofascist views are very close to those held by Timothy McVeigh, a man who mass murdered hundreds of women and children in the name of God.
Thank a union member for the weekend, the 8 hr. workday, child labor laws, OSHA, civil rights, overtime compensation, employer contributions to health care, paid holidays, FMLA,WC.. your welcome btw.
Or ask your bossman to take everyone of those rights away from you. I'm sure they will gladly relieve you of those rights. The good Union member fights for those rights so you don't have to. Just like the American soldier. Now all you Archie Bunker-types can keep bitching about your rights.
I agree with yoy comment entirely! however, let it be known that through all his faults Archie Bunker was a union member! I remember an episode where he hit someone crossing a picket line with a sign, his response was.."it's education...thats how you teach a scab" lol
The notion that an employee has the right to steal such things from their employer has about as much merit as the notion that a plantation owner has the right to steal labor from an African.
Thank a union thug for Marxist entitlements? The unions and those entitlements are largely what's killing our economy. Been to Detroit or Flint lately? Rights need to be EARNED, not automatically granted.
Right to work states have BETTER economies over all? So Mississippi's economy is better than California? Georgia is better than New Jersey? North Dakota's economy is stronger than Washington's? PLEASE show me your stats for this!!!!!
i.e. farm state = no union, entertainment industry = some of the largest unions in the world. may be there is something to it. Also, you still have not cited any sources by the blanket statement that "right to work states have better economies right now."
the only reason the pay is good at southern auto plants is appeasment, an all out effort to keep unions out. Funny the lost the new honda plant to Canada though. Guess they claim its to much of an investment to have "pictograms" drawn up for training
thats right! you dont have to be a union member, thats why they call you scabs and rats, because you are a parasite getting the same pay as those who fight and pay dues, without doing a fucking thing. research who funds the national right to work foundation, years and years of court battles and they still refuse to name their funders...why? because its all backed by big business...unions go..so do wages, look at rtw states
You can call me scab or rat or whatever you want. Your bullshit strongarm tactics are illegal. Unions served a purpose 50 years ago now the union heads are just abusing power. A union worker that smokes might work 3 hours in a day. I'm sure you don't have a problem milking your job for overtime while you sit on your hard hat smoking a fag!
better that employers get to strongarm single employees, or keep them endentured with wage slavery I suppose. Union tactics that you claim are being used are more than likely a direct result of fighting fire with fire
That might be true. The whole system needs to be re-worked. Employers shouldn't be able to abuse employees, but they unions shouldn't be able to get away with legal assualt either.
If an employee doesn't like the way they're being treated, they can always quit and get another job, move to where other or better jobs are, upgrade their skills and make themselves smarter so they can get another job, or start their own business.
You guys are right, I was taken advantage of....... by the "right to work" con artists. You conned your way into my employer and then attempted to violate our rights to protect ourselves by Unionizing.
Actually we received more intimidation from your "rtw" goons than from anyone else.
The right to work protects those whose rights have been violoted by compulsory unionism; those of us who do not live in Right To Work states don't have a choice, and that's not what America and freedom is all about. Screw Big Labor and the politics they support!
Doesnt anyone remember how the CEo's of the automakers showed up in their private jets to ask for money????

all I see is my union money disappear while notthing gets done with it. All they are is a fucking collection group to pay off their big fat higher-up union jerkoffs that don't fight for anything and just hand out pointless union jobs/postions to family members. Yet my dues continue to rise and for what???? I
Steelerzblow 2 years ago
@Steelerzblow Yes, they are a criminal shake down organization. It's that simple. What unions exsit for is to benefit the people who run the Unions. Where else can uneducated thugs make $500K/year. They could never command that money in the general economy. That's the sole purpose of Unions today. Maybe they were necessary in the 1920's but not today. The world has changed.

"I think half the people in the union don't want to be in there but just want to get out."
Unions are a PRISON that rapes its "members".
Employers are more trustworthy than unions.

Herbs, how's your anti Freedom of Speech campaign going? Still censoring remarks? LOL

Those who stand up for and protect the right to work (without union coercion and fraud) are just keeping corrupt union thugs accountable. But the corrupt union thugs refuse to be accountable for their tyranny of employees that they fraudulently claim to represent.

Unions are thuggish enough without employees' rights being stolen away with the Employee FORCED "Choice" Act. EFCA is TYRANNY!

Why should a majority of worker suffer low wages and benefits just because a few workers had bad experiences with a union?
FluxCapacitor2008 2 years ago
They shouldn't, of course. This group exists to bash unions--while trying to force the "right" to work in places where they receive better benefits and salary, BECAUSE OF THE UNION. Union intimidation isn't a problem, there is VASTLY more anti-union intimidation, they are fine with that, companies intimidating workers AGAINST the union. Tom Petty would vomit at your use of his song for union bashing.

I should have the right not to have the greedy union take 77.00 out of my paycheck every month!!

I don't have any problem with paying dues. I know how every dime is spent. Dues pay for our health care, pension, and training.
IWLocal8 2 years ago
I have a problem with unions using force and fraud to deny workers the rights to their own earnings... or even the right to keep their job. Workers need protection from unions far more than they need their fraudulent and coercive "representation".
herbs814 2 years ago
Examples? Or like usual are you just going to spout off a bunch of bs?
IWLocal8 2 years ago
This group exists to protect the rights of workers that unions willfully and fraudulently violate. Unions are scum that must be discipline from spoiled rotten brats.

Check into where they get their funding. Why do they not allow for freedom of speech on many of their other vids? Why do comments need to be approved if they are for EVERYone's rights?

Why should workers be FORCED into a greedy, corrupt, abusive union just so the union can brainwash them with empty promises and hatred of employers and businesses?
Unions are coercive; therefore unions are evil.

Union thugs are Nazi goons.
They are more oppressive of the workers than management ever is.
I have been in two unions and have seen this first hand.
Katoolie 2 years ago
Dispicable lies. There is NOTHING oppressive about belonging to a union. If your specific PEOPLE were bad, you should have elected better ones, union leadership is ELECTED BY THE MEMBERS, they're not dictators you cannot touch, of course. That's no oppression.

Unions are oppressive, abusive thugs. Work would be better without unions just like a dog would be better without an infestation of fleas.

The fact that police needed to be called in to control violent union organizers is all the more reason that union thugs need to be disciplined.

IWLocal8 2 years ago 2
Many union organizers are arrogant thugs that violate the rights of employees and employers. Their recruitment system rewards coercion, intimidation, and fraud. Their use of coercively collected dues for political contributions shows their lust for power... rather than any respect for rights or freedom.
herbs814 2 years ago
Any sources? Or are you just going to regurgitate the same BS over and over again? It's illegal to use dues for political actions. LMAO
IWLocal8 2 years ago
How is it that unions are the biggest contributors to political campaigns, political committees, and leftist initiatives. Unions are embezzling their funds to support tyranny and corrupt the political system.
herbs814 2 years ago
LMFAO What a twisted little world you live in! Open the shades - get outside - see reality! Unions make up 12% of the workforce and you're claiming that they outspend Big Business? Check out how much Big Oil alone has contributed! The more you write, the more delusional you appear.
IWLocal8 2 years ago
Check the campaign contribution records. It's unions that dominate campaign giving.
Businesses have to earn what they make.
Unions just have to steal it by force.
Business income is moral.
Unions need to end their coercive reign of terror and stop violating the rights of workers.

The "Right to Work Law" basically means if you work under a union contract you can enjoy the high wages and benefits negotiated by the union but you don't have to pay dues. Essentially your cutting your nose to spite your face. We've all heard the phrase "pay your dues", now you know what it means and why it's important.
tahoeclimber 2 years ago
That makes no sense. In an RTW state, a worker can work, free from having to pay the union money as a condition of employment (dues). They do have to pay a "core fee" of dues though. The argument being, the union does not use your dues money *only* for collective bargaining, they spend it on "marketing" or on supporting socialist politicians who you may not support.
saskrox 2 years ago
It make clear sense. If you're getting paid $22/hr at your union job but not paying dues, you're screwing yourself and your coworkers. As more people adopt this naive point of view the union loses funding and can no longer afford to protect your bargaining agreement. At last your "right" to not pay dues has left you earning $14/hr and that wage is artificially supported by the few remaining competing union jobs. What do you think would happen if everyone stopped paying taxes.
tahoeclimber 2 years ago
This video must be some kind of MadTV sketch... I can't believe these people are saying this with a straight face.
Compare pay checks, medical insurance, job safety, respect, job security, training and pride between a Rat and a Union Member. The poor Rat loses everytime.

I see major problems with several of the unions, the way they have operated, and they lobbying powers they have. but at thier core, the unions were created to benefit the working man.
fretlessbass26 2 years ago
Unions were the reason why the work conditions improved and workers rights defined.
I told him to shut up because he said the exact same comment on every video dealing with Unions.
Idude893 2 years ago
Unions were started by weak pathetic losers who were too cowardly to talk to their bosses as man to man on their own. If workers don't like the way they're being treated, they can quit and find another job, move to where better jobs are, or learn some new skills and make themselves smarter so they can get a better job. That's how you do it, not join some legalized marxist extortion racket outfit, which is what unions are, always have been and always will be. Get it douchebag?

Thank a union member for the weekend, the 8 hr. workday, child labor laws, OSHA, civil rights, overtime compensation, employer contributions to health care, paid holidays, FMLA,WC.. your welcome btw.
Or ask your bossman to take everyone of those rights away from you. I'm sure they will gladly relieve you of those rights. The good Union member fights for those rights so you don't have to. Just like the American soldier. Now all you Archie Bunker-types can keep bitching about your rights.
150tugman 3 years ago 3
I agree with yoy comment entirely! however, let it be known that through all his faults Archie Bunker was a union member! I remember an episode where he hit someone crossing a picket line with a sign, his response was.."it's education...thats how you teach a scab" lol

The notion that an employee has the right to steal such things from their employer has about as much merit as the notion that a plantation owner has the right to steal labor from an African.

Thank a union thug for Marxist entitlements? The unions and those entitlements are largely what's killing our economy. Been to Detroit or Flint lately? Rights need to be EARNED, not automatically granted.

right to work states have much better economies right now :)
The difference is the detroit auto industry and the South's auto industry. Which is healthier? :)
ragnarrahl 3 years ago
Right to work states have BETTER economies over all? So Mississippi's economy is better than California? Georgia is better than New Jersey? North Dakota's economy is stronger than Washington's? PLEASE show me your stats for this!!!!!
popecuttyeye 3 years ago
Apparently you've never heard that in economics the unspoken assumption is "Other things being equal."
I.e., auto industry versus auto industry. Not farm state versus state with entertainment industry and silicon valley. :)
ragnarrahl 3 years ago
i.e. farm state = no union, entertainment industry = some of the largest unions in the world. may be there is something to it. Also, you still have not cited any sources by the blanket statement that "right to work states have better economies right now."
popecuttyeye 3 years ago
the only reason the pay is good at southern auto plants is appeasment, an all out effort to keep unions out. Funny the lost the new honda plant to Canada though. Guess they claim its to much of an investment to have "pictograms" drawn up for training
pulppeeler 3 years ago
thats right! you dont have to be a union member, thats why they call you scabs and rats, because you are a parasite getting the same pay as those who fight and pay dues, without doing a fucking thing. research who funds the national right to work foundation, years and years of court battles and they still refuse to name their funders...why? because its all backed by big business...unions go..so do wages, look at rtw states
pulppeeler 3 years ago 3
You can call me scab or rat or whatever you want. Your bullshit strongarm tactics are illegal. Unions served a purpose 50 years ago now the union heads are just abusing power. A union worker that smokes might work 3 hours in a day. I'm sure you don't have a problem milking your job for overtime while you sit on your hard hat smoking a fag!
mclamped 3 years ago
better that employers get to strongarm single employees, or keep them endentured with wage slavery I suppose. Union tactics that you claim are being used are more than likely a direct result of fighting fire with fire
pulppeeler 3 years ago 5
That might be true. The whole system needs to be re-worked. Employers shouldn't be able to abuse employees, but they unions shouldn't be able to get away with legal assualt either.
mclamped 3 years ago 2
If an employee doesn't like the way they're being treated, they can always quit and get another job, move to where other or better jobs are, upgrade their skills and make themselves smarter so they can get another job, or start their own business.

Well why can't an employee find another job if they don't want to be in a union while they work at a unionized shop?

You guys are right, I was taken advantage of....... by the "right to work" con artists. You conned your way into my employer and then attempted to violate our rights to protect ourselves by Unionizing.
