  • i felt my arteries clogging as I was watching this.Slappin that grease to dip you on yo neck.

  • greasy:

  • ♥♥♥

  • I was in a 9 piece cover band that did this number. Playing the guitar and nailing the groove with a great bass player and drummer was almost sexual.

  • the master at work.

  • The Bob Dylan of rhythm... damn!!!

  • Too Short

  • Where's the rest of this! =(

  • Watch the cosby show season 3 episode three. " Golden Anniversary "

  • BOW DOWN SUCKAS, BOW DOWN ! :)

  • @JOHNROBERTCRUZ N-E-V-E-R

  • NOW REALLY WHO CAN BLEEP WITH THIS TODAY?!! AIN'T NO ONE THAT HAS THE MANLY FUNKY PRESENCE OF JAMES BROWN...RAW, ROUGH, SOUL BROTHER NUMBER ONE...FOR AS LONG AS THE GROOVE KEEPS ON! PERIOD!

  • KING OF SOUL!!!

  • the glide at 7 seconds is too much

  • They were in a small space, I think that's why it sounded so damn good.

  • last1

  • without a doubt the true icon

  • See more of Jabo Starks & Clyde Siubberfeild at SoulDrummers . com

  • the soundman was SO on point! where is the rest of it? what a tease!

  • ...that´s how woman get pregnant in 40 seconds!

    baby,baby, baby!

  • Is there more than 40 seconds to this clip? Can someone post it if it is.

This is the best version of the song.

  • the crowd looks as if the are all deaf.............or dead

  • @DONNIMETROPOLIS313 because he wasnt such a big deal back then.

  • @CT2507 you obviously werent born then, it was the square ass white-bread crowd that tended to be in the Mike Douglas audience once in a while, James Brown was wowing audiences all over the world and considered QUITE the big deal. Douglas's show wasnt a late nite show, i was a daytime show and you didnt get on it unless you could pull ratings, he just ended up on the show on a day appalachian tours decided to visit

  • Arguably one of the most important drum beats in the history of modern music!

  • wth is wrong with the crowd?

  • The lil "huh!" he does before the end is sickening. He's like "yeah, how badass is my band now ?"...

  • @SlikkTim please understand James Brown is badass and his band is bad ass, thats a trademark shout to the band as he goes into the chorus,or bridge what have you............when you say sickening, is that a new positive term,? or is that a sick ass jealous thing?

  • @DONNIMETROPOLIS313 I'm a huge JB fan and I been listenin' to him for years. I can guarantee that lil "huh" ain't systematic on I Got The Feelin, it's just that the hits were so tight he couldn't repress a lil satisfaction lookin to the band.

  • @SlikkTim if you say so.........not, but ok

  • This guy is up for greatest single talent of the 20th century. None of them did it all (sing, dance, write, arrange) let alone invent a genre. He is his own category and the only one in it.

  • @umskiddy

    exactly!!!!!damn crackers.

  • guests loved the mike douglas show because he let his guests go all out without restricting themt ,he way some shows of the day did. guests knew they could really Rock Out .

  • JAMES BROWN IS BADAAAAAAASSS!!

  • How can that audience sit still?

  • Good video, just wish it went on a little longer.

  • Insanely tight band. Too bad there's not more of this, as this sounds like the best rendition ever of this great song.

  • you damn right!!

  • @stratobee yeah! I was thinking that. His band is one of the best ever.... really amazing stuff.

  • look at those stoopid ofay honkies in the audience. the white man, at best, is corny.

  • words can't describe how f'ing badass that groove is. it's a clinic still schooling people 4 decades later.

  • Why so short? Wish I could see the whole performance. Michael said he was always so frustrated because the camera would always pull away from JB feet. I feel that way when viewing some of Michaels tv show videos too.

  • An UNDESERVING audience. What a shame!

  • Exactly what I said when I saw the audience. JB must have thought what did he get himself into.

  • how is he MJ b4 MJ??? u made no sence wah so ever

SMH......4 da slow ppl (Shakin My Head)

  • damn hes micheal jackson before micheal jackson

  • Duh! LOL

This is the guy michael wanted to be, his biggest idol, have u watched the jacksons 5 motwon audition? Well they are doing this song and michaels little feet are on fire..

  • I get it

  • and furthermore...the Bb to Ab at :22 is the most amazing thing I have ever heard

  • there is too much soul in these 40 seconds

  • @UMSMASTA I know it hurts there's so much

  • @UMSMASTA : AMEN!!!!

  • Is he in a room full of freshly labodomized bodies? This is rediculous. I wouldnt be able to sit if I saw that live.

  • The step he does in the first 4 sec tried to do it but can';t!!! :D

  • Man, those people seemed freaked, not quite sure what to make of it! Some people are just walking dead, no life in 'em at all!

  • did this clip come the the Music Central '96 cd-rom that Microsoft put out back then? i have that cd-rom.........

  • IT DID!!!! I vividly remember being about 6 years old and seeing this clip on my family's new computer and having my mind blown by this clip. There was a great clip of Leadbelly on there and one of Johnny Cash, too.

  • I have that cd too. And my personsal favorite from it was the video of Jerry Lewis's "Great Balls of Fire". I watched that video and this one soooo many times.

  • How can the people just sit there? I know I couldn't JB!FTW

  • agree.....maybe they are conservartive
