@xINiNJAzIx i started playing green day songs 10 years ago and learned to play through billie joe, so for me its logical. But i guess it's a strange way to play..
Omfg jealousjealousjealous. This is easily in my top 5 favorite GD songs of all-time. I thought I would never even hear a modern replaying of it live. I'm so happy that they're not ignoring their old classics. This song is fucking brilliant.
I love Green Day's old and new songs. But the old tracks is reminiscent of the good old days. New songs are there that they also formed the good memories and times. Green Day is the best band ever because they play all the songs damn well! I love Green Day!! GD 4EVER!!
This show was amazing...besides the fact that I had to win the tickets, a buddy and I had 4 "jays" ready to go and specific oldies we had to smoke them for...We were basically smoking them every other song once they started playing Burnout...2000 Lightyears, Holden Caufield, and Christie Road
if I had been there, would have cried, jumped and shouted at the same time. had pushed those who were static without knowing the lyrics, that would have been the best night of my fucking life. why they do not appreciate when Green Day played their old songs? it pisses me off. I'm very sorry , mi english is not god.
does anyone else think that they play there old stuff .... almost better now ? i saw them in bristow in august and they played paper lanterns and she and 2000 light years away and it rocked to no end... i think thats just green day though ;0
in the fond there is something that say wolfgang something like that and down its like saying FUCK but i dont know says puck.. or something like that lol love that song!
I love how green day has their set new songs they play in every show and then just play different older songs at every concert. Makes each concert it's own individual experience

I'm not familiar with this song (don't smite me- its not because I'm not a true fan, its because I can't afford the iTunes gift cards and Slacker radio is hit or miss), but in first listen it sounds generic. Really generic. Like J.A.R. generic. Green Day hits are the ones that break the mold or at least use a unique chord progression. (look at Holiday). This just sounds tired. I am thankful, at least in theory, that this gets recognized in 2008 or whenever this was played, rater than getting sw
@130551996 how is this generic? and explains to me in one way how the chord progression in holiday is UNIQUE? Its punk rock man, it doesnt have to be hard.
And anyways i think mostly all of Billie Joes riffs are different in there own ways. He has his own style.
I feel bad that you had to worry about the camera so much instead of enjoying the performance.... but on behalf of everyone thats watching this, thank you :)
loved this show! they played most of their old stuff :D and best of alll it was free xD i was kinda pissed offf because a lot of fucking pousers went that only wanted to hear '21 guns' and they started fucking complaining about the mosh pits. but whatever i had a goood time :)
Yeah, I can play it as fast as they play it too, but think about it. He has been running around the stage the whole night. He is exhausted. So it makes sense to slow it down. And what I meant by actually listen to the record was, listen to it again and think about how hard it would be to play it that fast after being so tired.
I thought it might be because Billie's arm was tired or something, and he started it off too slow, or because they hadn't played it in a long time, and just didn't know it.
But no dude, it's not because it's too hard to play fast XD
@Klarid Actually listen to the record, it is really hard to play that palm mute fast. So to avoid mistakes they play a little slower. A lot of bands do that.
Lol, okay, it's possible, but I'm betting more on a stylistic thing. Cause when they made that record, they already had a TON more experience than I do, and I can play it up to speed...
And uh.. "Actually listen to the record" Lol What did you think I was referring to when I said they slow it down?
And the slow-down is more so in the chorus than the verse...
@skotty1992 It was great but a little too short in my opinion. 21 songs only. But enough if you just wanna have a nice time with the best band in the world.
Ohh man...my friend and i were supposed to go to this one..(its a free concert) but we thought they wouldnt have room or we would be in the very back or something =/...jeez.
This was a great, great show, I was so glad they played so many "oldies". But yeah, only a few people were singing along which was slightly disappointing but I made up for them, volume wise.

@dukebullterrier I don't know where Ive seen it. but mike, billie or tre said when they see that people don't know their old stuff they are proud of their new ones. because they tried to top dookie. that wasn't easy. but so they see they did.
