I believe that is the problem many Spore players have; their computer just isn't upto the task of handling amazing graphics, with shaders (for the waves hitting the shores). I absolutely love spore! But this game is just too god damn buggy! I'm always losing my saved games because of frequent crasher about anything... And sometimes the games just changes things I've done previously... Like terraform to a stabilized T3 stage and later after loading my game it's T2!! What the FUCK?!?! Too bad... THIS GAME NEEDS A NEW FREAKIN' PATCH! But Maxis just trashed this due to the high pirate downloads... it's their fault... The DRM was a huge mistake!! x(

Respond to this video... that and conditions of said planet for terraforming, for earth based life, is the atmosphere 70% Nitrogen, is there then C02 in the atmosphere is the planets orbit stable (requires years of observation) and the final ingredient for earth based life is a magnetic field, tides may play an important factor as well, that and rotational eccentricity (different than orbit)
