a lsd is what makes both wheels spin, he is just leaving one skinny black line which means only one wheel is spinning. the other is just driving normally. lsd is a limited slip diff, so all the power going to make the one wheel spin is directed to the other wheel, now both wheels spin and you try and control it. when you do control it, its a drift.
