  • wasnt expecting that lol

  • FUCK THE ATMOSPHERE! Lets just take off! xD

  • Incredible. When I heard the demo by the C-130 Hercules from Trenton Canada here back in the early 1970s, it sounded like two F-4 Phantoms taking off with full throttle reheat Afterburners

  • NO2 upgraded. sweet (^_^)

  • i want one for my car lol

  • The Blue Angels were at Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, in 2006. I will always regret I didn't got there.

  • my friend got to go inside of it

  • C130 JATO takeoff with AC/DC in the background........HEAVEN!!!!

  • thats nice.

  • Loud pumping ball breaking rocket noise. Like Hot Hard Good Sex.

  • Poor kids. Their Parents should have covered their Ears. That is a lot louder for Children's Ears than Adults.

  • When I first heard this type of demo back in the early 70's, I thought it was a whole squadron of F-101 Voodoos taking off together until to my surprise to see it was a single C-130 Hercules being rocketed off the runway close up. They are fucken loud close up. Even closer up take off than the normal Fat Albert display demos from 1975 to 2008.

  • My 3 favorite take offs: The F-4 Phantom,C-130 Hercules JATO,and the RAF AVRO Vulcan Bomber's Howl.

  • The Niagara Falls New York Air Show on Sunday August 12th 2007 was the last time I saw the Fat Albert JATO Demo and close up too. Superb. No more C-130 Hercules JATO Demos at Air Shows now. The first C-130 Hercules JATO Demo I saw at an Air Show was in June 1972.

  • That;s so frickin awesome

  • I see the blue angels 3 times a year

  • thats amazing

  • Hearing that close up at an Air Show back in the 70's I remember was equivalent to a 5 squaudron of F-4 Phantoms or 5 squadron of F-101 Voodoos all with their afterburners on.

  • The loudest take off I ever heard close up at Air Shows. I mean the ground practically shook and my ears were ringing. They don't even do JATO anymore let alone close up demos which I have not seen in over 30 years

  • They Stopped doing JATOs I believe... Simply because JATO Rockets (Per Rocket) are expensive, and expensive as in Millions per Rocket, plus there aren't many left for the Blue Angels to use because (Forget which Hurricane) but a Recent Hurrican knocked out their supply of them and I don't believe they're being produced anymore, Correct me if I'm wrong... I think I may be on the last part...

  • @Iceman5164 I saw the Blue Angels at the Southern WI Airfest last year and what I was told is that they didn't have any rockets to use anymore. It was a bummer, but I still got to see the BA up close and that more than made up for it.

  • why does it have only 3 engines or do i see it wrong??

  • @D4rkSh0tzzz if you look at 0:12 you'll see all four.

  • @D4rkSh0tzzz There are Four each side for a total of 8 rockets.

  • They are here right now in New York at Republic Airport for the Jones Beach Memorial Day Air Show.

  • How much of a thrust presents one turbine engine?

  • so cool!

  • Saw this once. TOTALLY cool!

  • THUNDER!

  • So Loud! So Amazing!

  • i love the rocket boosters

  • SWEET...

  • WOOW 0:11!!

  • the blue angels c130 is so badass... they could strap .50 cals to it and use it for dogfighting

  • See: AC-130 Gunship

  • THUNDERSTRUCK!

  • why not this plane C-130 can with 4 jets,,,

    no need 4 fans

  • Construction won't hold for long flights.

  • it was cool that the rockets were red white and blue

  • NO WAI!! REALLY!

    jks dude :P

  • not really it is just the different temperatures that the flames are burning at

  • Yeah right on man. And sod using the herc to drop in needy aid after natural disasters or rescuing people from other peoples conflicts.

  • Oh and don't forget all the aid dropped in by Herc after natural disasters. Or maybe the people rescued during other countries conflicts.

Top vid BTW and a great take off.

  • yeah harvey wedstone attached one of those to his 2 ton chevy car in america and they reckon at 400 miles a hour his car started to break up and he hit a embankment which sent him flying thou the air at a alltitude of 300 feet into a mountain some guy reported to the usaf he seen a ufo lol and its on the darwin awards ..............what a muppet

  • UM...MYTHBUSTERS MUCH?

  • quite dramatic. CF can't use Jato rockets anymore, something about the airframes cracking

  • hell yeah man imagine that on a car, that lose the cops for sure!

  • lol, someone got a darwin award for that. They set it off on a 4mile straight, and ended up in a cliffside. LOL.

  • @phonix032 they did that on mythbusters, look it up.

  • @phonix032 its you people that hate the cops until you get shot or stabbed or robbed then thats when you love them

  • @peterlol2 A bit of over reaction here. Did he say anything in the least bit derogatory about cops? In any case, what good is a cop going to do you when you are laying there with a bullet in your head or knife in your neck? Or robbed you? The only thing that a cop is going to be able to do is his job. That is to track down the one who killed or robbed you. Won't do you a bit of good. You will still be a victim. Does make society as a whole safer but does nothing for the individual.

  • beutiful site. When I was with VXE-6 we use to use JATO units down in Antartica for heavy loads on our LC-130s. It is a serious ride!!!

  • saw this happen last night, utterly astounding, thanks for posting the vid!

  • You sir must've been at MCAS Miramar. I was there as well!

  • I always see the Fat Albert on tv with its JATO take off.

  • brilliant video shot...
