this is one movie where i thought the sex scenes did benefit the story. you could see how the girl was indifferent and manipulating in the first sex scene, whereas she grew emotional and intimate as she developed unconscious feelings for him.

Yeah so what do you think of the graphic sex scene in Lust Caution? The suspense is not worth getting a hard-on. That is why I treated that movie like a cross between football and porno when I yelled out, "FUCK HER, FUCK HER PUSSY!" I do that for the same reason why the late George Carlin used curse word in his stand up comedy, to add spice.

A Must-See Masterpiece!

A vastly beautiful forbidden love story. I'm not a big fan of chinese films but,this one really stole my heart!

Plus,Ang lee is one of my all-time favourite director! He's definitely one of the greatest asian film director on earth (alongside with wong kar wai,john woo,zhang yimau,wayne wang,etc)

Well if one is used to European films, those scenes where not so unusual or shocking as they might me for people from say north America.

Here in Germany the film got a over 16 rating, which is not x-rated here that would be a over 18 movie here.

@calciumkid85 The sex that the actors did in this movie was literally real. The scenes took 100 hours to shoot in a closed set where the director, the two actors and the cameraman were only allowed. That is why Lust Caution got the NC-17 rating. As you know, Ang Lee is a sick man.
