  • Bravo! Beautiful performance of a challenging work. Lovely choral sound, control of dynamics. From a compositional perspective, it has real merit; an honest sensitivity to the text, dramatizing nearly every word.

One quibble: at the end, the text seems to cry out to the composer to use a conventional cadence, to leap from the dominant up to land on the tonic; a bit clichéd for my taste. Yes, it solves the problem of the last words: "And am Free." but it's not entirely satisfying.

  • oof, tenor soloist needed more warm up. Bass/Alto "I go lie down" needed more smoothness in transition. The alto/soprano one was absolutely perfect. Boo to whoever coughed in the end. Other than that. 9/10

  • My favorite large chorus - so many voices yet singing with clarity and subtlety. Hope to see more!
