The fact that people can just chump the flipped scholar makes it worse, and with Doom Traveler being around, you have a looter that does nothing. I would take the Mauler because the chance of getting creatures is good. 4/5 is a lot more threatening then a 5/1.
Evan i really miss you "Magic Show"! I know that you lost some fans after last winter, and things got a little out of control, but there are MANY left, and we are all just waiting for the next "Magic Show #246"!
As an idea, you could make them like you did in "Magic Show #180", i know it takes much work, but it was so awsome!

Green is heavily underdrafted and the Festerhide boar is about 65/35 gonna table.
Granted, of the five cards in the pack for blue, at least one of them is coming back. Probably the mauler. I think people take the spirit higher than the mauler. Claustrophobia could come back too.
As for Burning Vengeance its an archetype that is great when it works and awful when it doesn't.
Though decision I was between the scholar and the champion, but I decided to go with the champion by the fact he is a rare card and maybe I get another scholar, but the scholar is perfect in limited as you said both of them are good picks.
Any information you'll need about MTG can be found for free elsewhere on the internet. The only time I'd get a Premium membership to SCG is if it was complimentary as a result of me doing a lot of business with them, and we all know hell would sooner freeze over than that happening.

Evan, I understand your duties and responsibilities have increased, but I want you to know, if ever need be, you have a seriously huge fanbase out there waiting on your videos.
It's not the fact that it's a video discussing magic, you put your all into it and your personality and enthusiasm did the rest.
Gerry seems like a really cool guy, and I like him, I'll continue to watch these, but just know we're all waiting for another edition of The Magic Show.

WTF dude, did Magic show get canceled? I subscribed to this for Magic Show, not previews of a show you have to pay money to see on a different website.
@BumAtLarg When he did pro player interviews and coverage, it was great. While I can't see him attending PTs all the time, I could see where SCG could have at least one employee (of the several who show up to sell cards at PTs/GPs) doing an interview for ones Evan can't show up for, giving us relevant pro content all the time, and maybe some SCG Open coverage as well, along with deck techs from top 8 or who knows what. As it is, though, it's a dying news-esque-show that is just info from forums.
I dont understand why people dont like GerryTV. hes an amazing player, and besides, if you look at Evan's first shows they weren't much better but you all love him. Give Gerry some time, he wins games.

@Incontroll1 Can you not understand that Evan has been posting and saying that things have changed for him and his position at SCG, so that The Magic Show won't be continuing on a regular basis. @Incontroll1 Can you not understand that Evan has been posting and saying that things have changed for him and his position at SCG, so that The Magic Show won't be continuing on a regular basis. And damnit, the show had an awesome, consistent run, just be grateful that it was there in the first place. You can find the article about this on the Star City Games site, go have a read.

@nellneb Unfortunately my duties at SCG have changed and I can't keep the regular schedule any longer. I will be doing shows from time to time, and I still have the skillset whenever I need it ;)
