I give him kudos for trying this difficult song, but I do prefer my uncle Richard Kiley to sing this version. Then, I will say I was absolutely awe struck to hear Linda Eder version...she's marvelous. She feels the words as did my uncle.

I love the song and John but I do not add this arrangement to the list of must have copies. He needs a stronger voice for this classic and this sort of Holiday Inn lounge guitar accompaniment is washed out. He can do better.

I have to utterly disagree with you. Yes, the quality of the sound isn't doing John's unbelievably amazing voice justice, but... even so he still far outshines Linda Eder's in my honest oppinion. She may have a beautiful voice but I found her rendition of this song mediocre at best, and I wasn't able to watch the whole way through because it became too much for me. I mean no disrespect to her, or those who thinks her voice is amazing, its just how I feel I suppose.
