When Thunder Thumbs starts struttin' his stuff, notice how much fun the guys behind him are having playing percussion and dancing; they're not just performing, they're really having a ball and showing it!! Funk and Fun...
love the lycra rompers. still its much better than the pants hanging down and seeing the undies. (i cant watch the new styles, makes me nervous at the thought of them losing their pants. esp on stage!)
Proof that you don't have to be a cum-face-making, fret-tapping, slashing, douchenugget showoff to play a beautiful instrument like a Les Paul and make fantastic music with it.
It's ironic that the so-called guitar gods couldn't play grooves like this if their lives depended on it. No high-sustain solos for them to rip through while making faces as though they've been constipated for six weeks.
@diegoescolochog I was actually complimenting this music, but since you are from a poverty-stricken, insignificant little country (Guatemala) where education is poor or non-existant, I'll pardon your insolence.
While you wallow in the mud-brick favela you call home, which you've somehow wired to connect to the internet (no doubt using a pilfered laptop and stolen electricity), I sit comfortably in my air-conditioned, opulent, AMERICAN home, enjoying Youtube on a blazing 28.8kbps modem.

@Khultan I think you misunderstood me. It's not because of his race but because he's a trumpet player dancing in pink. If it was the sax player, then I would be fine. lol Besides, I was only kidding.
I wonder what it was like to here Louis play that ridiculous bass for the first time. It must have been scary. (And when I say ridiculous I of course mean ridiculously good)
Moondog, that's George "Lightening Licks" Johnson up front wearing the orange jump suit, and his brother Louis "Thunder Thumbs" Johnson wearing the black vest and wailing on the bass. One of the greatest bass players EVER!
"black" music used to be REALLY good..60's/70's/80's! Cameo, Parliament, Lakeside...even early rap like Grandmaster Flash was good stuff. today's music completely sucks! and the rap has turned to crap, thanks to all of the west coast gangbanger shit. who the hell writes lyrics that tell black men to go out and kill other black men? just retarded. btw, the new "rap" wouldnt have a beat if not for sampling all of the old school good stuff from the 60's/70's&80's.

Mark King, Vail Johnson, Will Lee, Geddy Lee, Les Claypool
I LOVE John Entwhistle but he doesn't even rate in the conversation with just those bassists let alone Stanley Clarke, Louis Johnson, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham, or Nathan East
John Entwistle was the bass player for the WHO. He was a great bass player, but by no means does he deserve the title of Bass Player of the Millenium. Now, Jaco, Stanley, Willie Dixon, James Jamerson, hell even Victor Wooten are more entitled to that moniker than John Entwistle. Why? Because each bass player that I mention above changed the way the bass is played, and perceived in a musical context. Entwistle was great, don't get me twisted. But he was not an "inovator" of his instrument.
Ah yes! Marcus Miller. He is no doubt one of the great ones. Hell, he even has a his own sound that others try to emulate. I have had producers say "Give me that Marcus Miller sound"
If we are discussing bass players and who is the best or considered the best and people are giving there opinion, my opionion is valid and the FACT OF THE MATTER IS JOHN ENWISTLE WAS VOTED BY OTHER PROFESSIONAL BASS PLAYERS AS BASSIST OF THE MILLENIUM, and has he has won thousands of polls in the last 5 decades, cheers
Hey douchebag! John Entwistle has won thousands of polls, honors and awards for the last 45 yrs. He was voted BASSIST OF THE MILLENIUM and BEST OF THE BEST by Guitar Magazine. Must be something there douchebag. Entwistle always wins in every poll and if not 1 he is 2ng. Check out Entwistle singing and playing bass on The Quiet One or his solo on 5:15 at the Royal Albert Hall.
why the hate? why the negativity? I am only responding to idiotic people like you about the greatest bassist in the world. Sorry if you dont like the facts that John Entwistle was voted Bassist Of The Millenium. Your opinion does not change the facts. I am stating a fact as well as an opinion. Your opinion is no better or worse than mine or anyone elses. But the facts are clear. Cheers mate.
Dude, Ure not "only responding",its obvious; for me, Entwistle also means more than Johnson, but theres no point in posting your "fact of Entwistle being greater than Johnson" under Johnsons video - thats what everyone here is trying to tell U
Why the hate an negativity? Becuz U triggered it. Becuz every1 is fed up with sour-asses posting "... is better" under a musician's video - even if its clearly true, its soo annoying

This bass player of the millenium article lost all of its credibility when it ranked Krist Novoselic higher than Stanley Clarke and James Jamerson.

Commieobama...idiotic, imbecile, stupid moron
Read my lips: no one is criticizing John Entwistle, I just asking you to go and post something positive about him on the proper video.
Do not post negative notes where they don't belong. If you need a bit of attention, then call your Mommy.

why the hate? why the negativity?

Every1 here knows Entwistle and how good
