Come on. Being a part of any school of Karate will not make you a Master or Champion. It really doesn't matter if you are training Shotokan (which is soooo general name meaning a lot of different approaches), Wado-ryu, Shorin-ryu, Goju-ryu, Kyokushin... Boxing, Judo, Fencing or playing Chess. If you train really hard and you know what level you want to achieve, you'll become a Master. I appreciate the results of all Masters and Champs (like O'Neill). The style is only a background. All are good.
I didn't like this video!This kind of karate looks like a street fighter-They don't have much rules.I'm a karate fighter of shotokan style and my opinion is that it don't obey the classic karate,is a shame see someone fighting like gary!
DUDE STFU u would get ur ass kicked by Gary in a second PUSSY AS BITCH. i practice Muay Thai. and go to many styles of tournaments and kyokushin fighters always have great spirit and style and perform very well. While shotokan guys are crap. there are a few that are good but.. cmon shotokan is poo. and i would know i also did it but i stopped cuz it was gay

Oneil was a fine Kyokushin Karate fighter. Too bad he has retired. He was always a little too eager to do the Do Mawashi kaiten geri though (that rolling kick)
Yeah but he knocked a few out with that kick. iirc. Also see if you can get a video of a kickboxing fight he had where Gary smashed the other fighter up so bad he had to have his jaw wired
