  • Nice try! :) +5 for that music, +2 for shaking camera during the car chase, -5 for actually poor driving at slow speeds, -3 for absolutelly unrealistic muzzle blast, -1 for a civilian standing still and calm during a gun fight, +4 for making this film. But hey, if You need a DRIVER, please let me know... ;)

  • @TheBadRusty I think you've got this one spot on -- I tried to fix the muzzle flares, the driving, and people standing in the background in the sequel to this. Here's the link: /watch?v=36WoEQS3npw

    Thoughts on that?

  • whats the first music called??

  • nice stedicam!!

  • Check out our muzzleflares, I think you'll learn something ;) Could use some work on the editing part though, but all in all a good piece.

Make sure to stop by our channel as well, you might learn something, or get inspiration! Besides, we'd love some feedback :)

  • @JARANDandJENS Thanks for the feedback! If you have a minute, check out the sequel to this video; I really toned down the muzzleflares and spent a bit more time on the bullet hits.

  • @JARANDandJENS Almost forgot the link: /watch?v=36WoEQS3npw

  • Nice job guys pretty cool !!!

  • What lens(es) did you use on the t2i?

  • @tornpixel The kit lens (18-55 f/3.5-5.6) for this video.

I have a 50mm f/1.8 prime, but the FOV on the crop sensor T2i isn't wide enough for action.

  • @WesPalmerFilm Okay cool, thanks.

  • I really just want to see a shot after the black out at the end that's just blood dripping on a teddy bear. I think that would really pull the whole piece together.

  • what mic do you use?

  • @24photos I actually scrapped all of the sound from the original footage (we didn't plan on using it anyways, so I just recorded with my camera's built-in mic), and then recorded everything from footsteps on cement, to the car engine sounds, to dropping a shotgun in the woods, after the fact and mixed it all together. I used the Zoom H4n to record all the replacement sounds.

Check out the behind the scenes for this video to see some of the original shots with camera audio:
