"The US release had the track "Mine" removed due to concerns that Sony had regarding a line about "crosses and crucifixes" alienating the US market."

This song was only originally on the US release of the album. The Australasian album had a different song instead, Universe I believe (but I might have that wrong)

By the way, Darren is behind Daniel in a lot of photos, check it out. Obviously, tho, Darren is drop dead gorgeous with a voice to match, without him there would not have been a SG. He is a brilliant songwriter, performer that oozes sex appeal not to mention genuine artistry.

For all of you who keep referring to Daniel as "The other guy" his name is Daniel Jones. And to answer the questions about the reason they're not together, it was mostly Daniel's choice because he was founder of the group anyway, and he wanted to leave Savage Garden to be with his family. Darren then went solo and they both said "never again". I wish they'd get back together too, but some things are meant to be left alone.

I make this song mine. I grew up with some SG songs and new Darren Hayes songs too. I hope one day I'll meet him. I think it's a nice and clever person.

This is my all time favorite SG song.

It evokes emotions in me I didn't even know I had since the first time I heard it when I was 10 years old.

A song that can do that after 12 years is definitely something special.

Yes I think what brennahell said is correct, they seemed to focus on Darren more as he was the singer. Besides Daniel wasn't as comfortable in front of the camera.

@ZeoDovE The other guy was shy and never really liked being in focus so to speak and now is behind the scen and owns his own record label in Australia or something, Darren loves the lime light and so is now a solo artist.

@ZeoDovE That's how a brand works. Savage Garden is a brand and Darren Hayes represent that brand. So does Daniel, but since Darren was the lead singer it was the most logical to let him be in the front of the pictures. Many bands are linked to their leadsingers. U can't think U2 without thinking Bono and vice versa

@ZeoDovE That is more than likely due to ego. Sometimes the lead singer wants to be placed in the front or focused in most because he wants to be the star of the group.

@ZeoDovE Several possible reasons:

(a) That's how the "production" wanted it. They were under Sony's management so if they think this will make little girls scream then they'll do it..

(b) Darren was the singer. Singers are usually put at the front on the stage, in photoshoots and in general.

(c) Daniel, "the other guy", used to be pretty shy and would often appear to take a step back. Darren is an attention whore :)

@ZeoDovE Well, Daniel was never really all that excited about being in the public eye. He preferred to be behind the scenes. Which is where he is now. He's a producer and writer.

@ZeoDovE I believe the reason for Darren always being in the front is because Daniel has always preferred to be in the background. Even though they always had equal input in the music collaboration, Daniel has always been a musician and producer (and still very active in the music industry) while Darren has always been more outgoing and also the main vocalist. It's a nice complement and balance of the two. That was my understanding of it.
