  • divine !!!!

  • Great version. I remember it well.

  • Its a shame that others get credit for a good song.......John Travolta also covered some of Gary Benson 's songs........badly. A brilliant songwriter

  • Check out Marvin Welch & Farrar "Faithful" for harmonies.... Class!

  • don't come close to Gary Benson version

  • jajaja-......the year of my birthday....good music...was a graet year.... :)

  • Barry Manilow also sings a lovely version of this song :-)

  • This should have been the Eurovision entry,it would have won !

  • Beautiful, thanks! Any chance of the whole video!? :-)

  • The only one I ever knew is Stacy Lattisaw's version of this song.

  • The only version of this I've known of up until now is by Dave & Sugar (which I posted). I'd love to hear all the others. Sadly, the Shadows were all but non-existent on radio in the US.

  • The best version of this song was recorded by a little known Australian female singer named LORI BALMER. Her version is even better than olivia Newton John's version.

  • I am close to being impressed, but why is your age shown as 31 in your profile?

  • Me?

  • No, davidmindel

  • You're right. Sorry.

  • favoutie song of all time -20 years after first hearing

  • Absolutely superb, wonderful clip

  • Wonderful clip of a beautiful song. I have the album that this comes from (Specs Appeal) but I've never seen this clip before. Thanks for posting it! Would love to see the complete version.

Am I right in saying that The Shadows version of this song was actually the original and Gary Benson covered it later in the year and had the hit with it?

  • the shadows ROCK

  • O_O

  • I enjoyed that, thanks its great to hear again.

Have you any more footage like this?

  • I see Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch. And yes that is John Farrar I think - and I hear the voice too. Also presumably Brian Bennett on drums and a keyboardist? Would love to see the whole clip.

  • will try and put the whole clip on soon plus more, and yes your right Hank,Bruce,John & Brian, and On Bass Guitar Is Alan Tarney,Who Wrote The No1 for Cliff, We don't Talk Anymore. 9/10

  • That's John Farrar on bass.

  • Is that the John Farrar who wrote all those great songs for Olivia Newton-John?

  • I love the original of this song by Gary Benson (1975). Wish I could find it online.

Good version by the Shads though.

  • I have the original version which I have transfered from LP to my hard drive. I am new to this site but I will post it soon onto this site

  • This is great! But, do you not have the whole performance to upload?

  • just listen to those harmonies.great.

  • What do you mean ? Explain yourelf sir!
