I love Queen was fortunate enough to see them live. There will never be another Freddie, but there will also never be another Adam Lambert. He is the best male vocalist to come along in a long while. Why some get all twisted up about Adam singing with Queen is beyond me. It is all about the music and I am grateful the next generation can hear this incredible music. While Adam IS incredibly talented it sounds sometimes as if he is screaming rather than singing also i dont think Adam could take his voice as low as Freddie could...No one is better than Freddie, he could sing anything! Freddie never took vocal lessons nor vocal training plus he didn't start singing until his early 20's.

@Yo1969Yo K, Adam has been singing since he was 9... and he only had vocal training so he could grasp teh full abiliy of his voice, and be able to control it. I say their both very talented men. I think they would love eachother if Freddie was still alive.

There is just something about him that is mesmerizing - something that generates passion & emotion, to watch him perform is exhilarating. I love Queen, always have - and Freddie Mercury's voice is wonderful. But, for me, Adam's voice is technically superior. It's not just the range - it's the purity and tone and emotional resonance. Adam is classically trained and it shows. He prefers rock and pop and ballads at the moment, but he's an incredible tenor, and could just as easily do classical concerts and opera. His voice and performance style suit virtually any genre, and I hope he experiments with them all! A gift from the gods!

Adam more than 'holds his own' with Freddie. What a duet they'd make! Also, in fairness, Freddie has the advantage of the whole Queen harmony plus awesome instrumentals. Adam has performed, not counting on AI or a capella, with only his own voice recorded for the harmonies. As pure voices, they are comparable.

The one thing I notice when there's a Freddy vs. Adam comparison is that Adam has so much more control of his voice. He holds a note steadier than Freddy does. Both are great singers, but I think that technically, Adam has the edge.
