Crisq586 japanese makes those movies as ringu/ring and gudge so great. They made them of course. They dont act like you say. They do better. It is like they really try it in real life. Tats my opinion. Not seen the japnese ju-on but im gonna:D

i think in japanese horror they use a lot of symbolism that americans and europeans don't understand. alot of japanese horror movies are based around legends from japan. i think its all specific to their culture.

Asian horror are the best beat western movies by far..just the idea of a black hair woman wearing white clothing at night its freaky already. I myself have seen a ghost and told many stories about ghost, very close to the grudge but they dont kill u just scared u a lot.

Imo (and many others), the "enhancement" you're talking about is what ruins asian horror. The Grudge 2 (US) sucked monkey balls and you're actually the first person i've 'heard' say it's better :P

This is subtle and creepy - US remakes makes them look silly.

I definitely agree. The Grudge 2 was all about 'blatant scares' which often ended up coming of as funny, rather than scary.

Ju-On 2 had a creepy atmosphere, and was more about subtlety. You're not quite sure when something will happen, but when it does - WOW! is it scary!

I'd hardly call The Grudge 2 an "enhancement". It just hashed together a heap of scenes from Ju-on 1 and 2, and tried to make a movie out of it. Crap. crap. crap.

I hate when Northamerican Directors try to make "enhanced" or "English Versions" outta the best japanese movies. The grudge SUCKED BALLS compared to Ju-on and Ju-on (the second part, since that doesn't count as Ju-on 2). The Ring? Bullshit. Ringu for the win.

It even happens with videogames! They tried to make an English Version of "Osu, tatakae, Ouendan!" called "Elite Beat Agents".
