sounded like 2nd gear sat too long and you lost some revs there. Those damn cars are so fricken easy (but expensive) to turn out a screamer. I'd like to see a little more wedge in the front end tho. did the $hitty track prep and moisture affect your tire pressure choice?

I've got the 6al-2 with the built-in 2 step in my 68 Camaro 5 speed. Do you have the 2 step wired to the clutch pedal (and how does it affect downshift rev matching) or does the driver flick a switch manually to turn it off during the run?

works a little different on the newer cars... it's all in the computer and hand held tuner... I had an xcal2 with my 04 GT and could turn it on and off with a few buttons on the programer. It only works when the clutch is disengaged or the car's in neutral.

That was our first time at the track with the new setup. The car was running stock shocks. It was also our first time using the 2 step so we still had not found the right rpm to launch the car at. The car now has QA1 double adjustable shocks on it. We'll be headed to the track on Wed so we'll see if we can get the 60ft down and get that 9 sec pass.

wow a 10.13 on only 124mph is damn impressive driving, sounded like the 2nd gear was a bit too long , seemed like it dropped too much rpm but damn that thing hauls

We had to abort the run at the 1000ft mark as the car started breaking up. We believe the alternator was going bad on us which caused the ignition and fuel system to start bugging out. The car went 112+mph in the 1/8th so we should have gotten a 9 sec pass out of it if we didn't have to let out. Back to the track wed with a new alt, new shocks and a few other suspension tweaks.

@TheHondarider94 yeah a dohc engine is more likely to break down but it will be more powerful then anything chevy has ever built and rpms are much higher making it 35% more powerfull then a ohv engine plus the ford has 4 valve compared to 2 valves ford motors are far more technologically advanced then chevy thats why a 5.0 dohc smokes a 6.0 ohv and dont get me started on dodge

Definitely. We went through the 1/8th at almost 113mph. Motor is going to come out this week to be checked out and then we will put it back together with the 3.5" pulley instead of the 4". No more dickin around
