It is great and amazing that no one died at Union. It is fine to thank God for that, but the ones who were saying that it was a test of faith sent by God are kind of sick considering that there were people who died in that tornado. You would not be arrogant enough to think that God sent a tornado to kill people just to test your faith.
Wow i live in Joensboro and that tornado icon looks on top of us or above but its close to me id remember if we had a tornado...wait..i think it was the tornado that laste don the grond for a couple of minutes liek 15 minutes and discipated whe it go top jonesboro scary D:
I was working in Lexington that night and the company I worked for never told us when we were under a Tornado warning. It is a miracle no one was killed at Union. Thanks for the video.
IT was SO much fuss over that tornado cause that is a WHITE college that the tornado damage....But let us not forget back in 2003 a worse tornado tore up the east side of Jackson (predominantly black) and the damage was twice as bad, there was not that much fuss. And plus Union was completely built back only a few months later....it took YEARS for them to rebuild East Jackson.....WHY!!!!
I live just about 5 mins from union. The tornado hit the walgreens about 1 1/2 block from my house, jumped us and hit the neighborhood behind mine. This is the first time I'm seeing these videos. We didn't have power for about 3 days, we just had a radio my aunt brought. I really can't believe how hard this tornado hit us. We really are lucky no one was seriously hurt.
I'm not sure if 100% recovered but they are pretty close. The new dorms are already built and students are living in there. The bank right next to Union just now reopened. Jackson is pretty much back to 100%.
I was one who went to the hospital, and if I had not seen a friend's door open when I came back from dinner I would have gone to my own dorm room, in the building most hard hit. I more likely than not would have died. I thank God so much that I live and that I've learned that things on this earth are just that- things. Possessions can be replaced. I thank God we did not lose a single person.
man, still tears me up to see images from that night, that was easily the most terrifying night of my life. It's so weird to see my dorms on there, so weird to see the SUV that went through my window.
OMG! My prayers go out to everyone and hopefully all the student injured make a full recovery. As i am crying now and can't believe that happened yet thankfull that there was no deaths. You are in my prayers.
Wow... this is astounding. Just to think that half of my family and my whole youth group stayed in those exact dorms that got hit when we went to CentriFuge there.
I was in Henderson when this thing hit,and the lighting and wind were awful even there at Freed-Hardeman. I'm sorry to all who were involved and especially those who lost loved ones.
Hey guys, disable the comments for this. Your just going to have stupid post hurtful things. Im from Dyersburg and its amazing no one died. You are in my prayers.
