  • well as long as the pilot walked away from it i say its a good landing

  • He should have gone around after the bounce...

  • @mclchr lol, describe for me how a glider would be able to go arround xD

  • @tjampe I think it's too complicated to explain correctly here ;)

  • I also made a landing like this right my first soloflight on a K21

  • any landing you walk out of is a good landing

  • bumpsydaisy lol....

  • any landing u can walk away from is good one

  • Its a downslope landing, thats pretty tough...

  • dude its ask 21 not ak 21

  • Any undamaged and/or unhurt landing is a GOOD landing...

  • do u think mr bean would do that??????

  • Is that a Janus?

  • @cguimaraenz Read the title. Although it's still wrong, 'cause it's an ASK21, not a K21..

  • @IkTheNew Almost everyone I know calls the ASK 21 the K21

  • Note to self - don't land into hill sides.

  • hes alive! plane is in one piece! good landing! :)

  • A bit harsh - you should see how Iand lol

  • I've not seen a 21 with a retractable undercarriage before... if anything I get the impression that the sudden shock that the glider had no wheels under it might have screwed up the landing a bit.

  • @smokemeelmo It's not retractable! They just took the real wheel cover off, which makes it more convenient to check tyre air pressure. Many clubs do this to their ASK-21/k21's to make checking it easier.

  • Dunstable is a very good airfield Mr Joggl - the SURFACE isn't perfect... But it's been that way for years... Better pilots fly from Dunstable :)

  • the airfield isnt very nice°°

  • any landing you walk away from.......... ;)

  • Seems he got scared by the ground rushing up since he was flying over a slope. Hit the ground hard and then went airborne again due to too much energy. Well its an ask-21 so she can take it.

  • came at it too quick, didnt allow much room before touching, could see it happening from the start

  • nice music. what´s the name of the song?

  • ...wondered if the pilot looked at far end

of field during that final approach...and

the field looked like a 'rumpled' carpet

    which contributed to the bounces.

  • Why land it in such a bumpy field?!!

  • @MrTumnus8896 The field itself is rather smooth although in places it is a bit undulating... It is the oldest gliding club in the UK and has a glider that is twice that size operating from it (largest glider in the UK).

A tounge-in-cheek response would be that the dip he was landing in was caused by many pilots over many years doing exactly what he did in the video ;)

  • Not too bad at all. Since it's a 21, i was most likely a training flight.

  • Two flights for the price of one

  • A little jumpy, but not to bad. At least it's in one piece!

  • could have been worse.

  • wasnt too bad dont worry about it hehehe

  • xD YES that`s right! That why you should not land an ASK21! NIce vid!
