I find this...interesting. I think using a dedicated shot instead of a large, single, unmodified ball-bearing would be better, or just buy a slug if you'd like to use that instead. Either one would have better accuracy or better performance. Then again, if you're building this, I doubt you'd be looking for either. Also, the troll comments are funny. I'll keep myself from feeding 'em.

just remember these slugs don't have a spiral velocity when shot, even if they are round. you might end up shooting upwards/diagonal depending on the air and force. like a musket.

Was there powder in the shell you made or was it just primer? If powder, how many grains did you use? I've been looking into loading my own slugs and something like a lighter load for a homade barrel is an interesting concept, Also, i think this is a pretty cool idea for lining up the .177 bb or pelet to hit the primer. i like

This gun doesn't have a long enough barrel from the looks of it, and if it's not 18" long it is a felony to own it. and full auto weapons require a $200 tax stamp from the ATF and you must have a class 3 ffl and also be a class 3 manufacturer.
