P'tite précision: cette vidéo est prise à Conakry et non en Gambia. Ils chantent en sousou en diakanké, 2 langues locales de la cote guinéenne. Là ils sont au bord de Taouyah.
We are getting ready to be the third american family to adopt from the gambia and I am letting my sons watch this to see where their new brother or sister is coming from! Thanks for the post and idea of what Gambians sing.

There is no Kora in this video. The Kora is a 21 string instrument (and it is not spelt with a C, always a K).
The instrument on the left is called Bolon or Balan, and the one on the right is called a Gongoma (not Kalimba or thumb piano).
Both are found all over West Africa - in Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, and right on down into Ghana and Cameroon
The original Bolon had only 3 strings, but modern versions have 4 or 5 strings, especially when used as a bass accompaniment.
