  • once you get it going pump the throttle if it stays running that way the fuel pump aint bad

  • So is this your truck? Is it just sitting in a field or something?

  • Every year we try to start our quad, Ofcourse it doesn´t start in first attempt. But last two years we tried Brakecleaner. We sprayed it into the Airfilter, and right after that it starts without any problem. Just recharged our battery, put some fuel in it and brakecleaner

  • great vid im diging the mods its got a holley carb rams horns hei and i think i saw a old ignition box on the driver fender sweet ol truck keep us updated

  • Seems like I can always hear an engine running in these videos in the background

  • thats a chevy for ya you can sit it in the yard for years and it will still fire up

  • I would prefer to drive it to the junkyard, too... vs towing it.

  • you want to put about half a cup of gas down the cab it will make the moter run long enogh to pull fuel to the carb also pump the gas this will help

  • Why didnt you give the throttle a squeeze instead of wearing out the starter?

  • give me 20 min, a tool box full of tools, can of carb cleaner.....and it'll b e running like a singer sewing machine

  • Use your gas pedal.

  • you need to pump the throttle with your hand while your turning it over. its not gonna just fire up and run like you parked it yesterday! you have to work the throttle linkage to make the accelerator pump work! oh and go to the dollar store and buy a cheap spray bottle for your gas!

  • should have used a can of starting fluid with a spray straw to give constent flow into the carb while cranking the motor. but first check your oil before that engine runs, might have alot of condensation build up after setting for ten years in open weather? GOOD LUCK!

  • Was it really that hard to start?

With my '77 C10 that was sitting for 10 years, I just put in a new battery and a splash of gas into the tank, pumped the pedal a few times, turned the key, and it fired right up.

  • @s41793 It was originaly taken off the road in the early eighties and probably wasn't run much after that. Its been sitting as long as I can remember and the only time I ever saw it run was once in the late 90's. So its been sitting for the better part of 25 years.

  • @bah53 LOL YOU WENT THREU THE FLOOR NOW THATS HOW YOU KNOW WHEN ITS A GOOD OLD RUNNING CLASSIC! when you go thru the floor it just lets you in like START ME UP! >.O

  • u got to pump it

  • 69 or 70!! It should say it on the vin plate I believe!!

  • is EP 3 coming soon? I am sure you and everyone else is wondering (Will it run on its own?)

  • you sould rig up a gravity fuel pump and use her for a far truck.....ol

  • looks like a 69 i have the same one.

  • Next time put the Gas in a Spray Bottle.. Works like a CHARM !

  • the truck is either a 69 or 70 model..that is the only 2 years that they put them kind of grilles in the trucks..76 n 68 had different grilles and 71 and 72 had different grilles

  • change the 10 year fuel mate if you havnt already otherwise it wont fire because its stale

  • good job :D

  • you made the dead alive

  • Try using a unlit propane torch aimed down the carb to keep it running until it's warmed up and the gasoline is flowing. You'll still need to prime it with gasoline but you won't have all the stall outs.

  • make a three that would be sweet

  • its a 68 or 69 not a 70 or 71 or 71 70 had a different grill and 71 and 72 had a different grill form the 70 so that should help u

  • well 70 did not have the same grill as a 71 or 72 sorry

  • I have no clue what year it is but i changed the description to say "late 60's" rather than "early 70's" At any rate im close enough on the year range lol

  • well its helps lol my moms got a 72 check the vids be loading some more up soon of my dad cars so it will be nice got 2 fords but that give us a rash if u kno what i mean

  • Will you people just shut up? Yeah, he may not be the smartest guy on vehicles, but he's trying. So just quit being mean.

  • He must Hebe one hell of a battery in that thing. I recently bought a '62 Chevrolet and it won't crank half as long before I realize what an idiot I am for forgetting that I have to manually choke it. It's weird driving something exectly as old as your mother.....

  • that is awesome

  • please make a number three. i had heaps of fun watching these. i wanna see a peel off.

  • No ford could do that.

  • bullshit my 62 econoline stared after not running i 30 years

  • You're a dick.

  • if your in pennsylvania and the frames good i'll buy the truck. haha. it can be my next project

  • well im not in pennsylvania and i havent looked at it real close, but i bet the frame is toast

  • I hope there will be a episode 3

  • u forgot 2 pump it

  • Wow that is interesting that truck came with factory A/C

  • not bad. did you at least check the oil before starting it up? you should air up the tire and take it for a drive in the yard.

  • yeah, there was oil and coolant in it. The front tires might hold air, but the old cheetahs in the back are completely done for

  • great 100th vid ! thx for sharing !

  • Rust holes can be a good thing sometimes! Excellent 100'th video. Heck yea it counts! The engine ran, the fuel pump is what crapped out! What size engine is in that?

  • im not really sure but i think its a 350

  • congrats on the 100th vid!

  • nice 100Th vid. wow that rusty old thing has a/c. put a electric fuel pump on it and take it for a drive.lol

  • congrads on ur 100th video and for that chevy start keep them commiing

  • Didn't the old Chevy trucks only have a five-digit odometer? That 76K could end up being 176 or even 276K because those would just roll over when they hit the century mark.

  • yeah the odometer dosent go past 100,000 so it probably has 176k

  • You can always depend on your chevy!

  • Darn, you beat me to 100 videos! I'm working on my 100th right now. Oh well! lol!

That's a conveniently placed rust hole! lol!

Well, I would say that engine has lots of potential! If that had a working fuel pump, it would make a great truck to beat up on the farm!

Well, this definately makes a good 100th video - happy 100th video, man, and to 100 more!

  • Sweet. I'm liking it already.

  • That good ole rusty Chevy is a 1969 or 1970 cause that model only lasted for those 2 years. Awesome shes a good engine :)
