you can be concerned for the general welfare through means other than a wasteful and corrupt federal government. Ron Paul is the only rational choice.
goat RP is the typical republican redneck candidate. He follows in the footsteps of his other fellow Texans. bushit, cheney, delay, cornyn. He wants to eliminate Gov. to control the ppl. DK wants to put gov. back where it should be WITH and FOR the ppl
quietsheep. I did not say rp was another bush. I said look at some of the others that have come from TX. I live in TX and i know how these neocons stick together. I also work for the State of Texas and am a union member so i get a little different perspective. Unfortunately this red state = rednecks. RP is no different. All the above are his buddies
i'm not from texas so i can't speak from personal experience. i do know that Ron Paul has an outspoken hatred for neoconservativism, a doctrine of imperialism that he believes is contrary to what america should be. there are many texan paleoconservatives who can be republican but not of the cheneyist sort. bush isn't a neocon anyway. he's the figurehead for the movement, providing a link between the intellectual imperialism and the faith-based imperialism of evangelicals.
quitesheep Any one can SAY they hate neo-conservatism but he has his own neocon friends in the shrimp industry. He wants to do offshore drilling at the expense of the envir. He wants to have fed control over what a woman can & cannot do with her body. He wants birth control abolished. The main reason ppl are supporting him is because they believe it will cut their taxes. The ppl who will get the biggest breaks r once again corps. of course
but the corps are not the ones supporting him. i haven't looked into his woman's health rights really (though i believe they are more nuanced than you propose) but the point is that none of this makes him a NEOconservative. it makes him someone who i wouldn't want to be president; but the word neoconservative gets tossed around too loosely. anyway, you could just look it up in wikipedia or something instead of listening to me. kucinich 08

The only thing I don't like about this is Dennis's last statement..."One World" with a fist. That stands for One World Order of which we do not want. I was very disappointed about this. I was hopeful that he was a decent man. I liked what he had to say until the fist and the comment. Sad...Very Very Sad!
Fist?? What fist? Look at it again, that wasn't a fist... He's holding a mike in his left hand and emphasizing his words with the right hand, sometimes pointing, sometimes holding the finger across his other fingers and you see a fist?? Wow!! get a grip...
He has a powerful message for the unification of the states and the world, we can only hope he can get the nomination... actually we can do more than hope, we can get involved, we can vote, we can donate... Peace
You're going to have to change. That's the most important thing that herstory has shown. Good luck on that road. It's gonna be rough. P.S. Don't kill anybody along the way.
Dennis is great!! Anyone who stands up to big evil (current administration)The way he does has my vote. Way to go Dennis... The only candidate with any real balls.
Well they are both against the war and staunch defenders of civil liberties.
Kucinich has been poor and maintains empathy and compassion for his fellow human beings. Thus he is for a living wage, free health care, education, and affordable housing for all Americans. Ron Paul is a libertarian and clearly opposes national health care and all government services except military and police. Big Difference!
What's messed up about the premise of pro-choice is if the abortionist fails to kill the baby inside the belly the woman doesn't have the choice to go ahead and kill it anyway.
Fuck "electability." I elect not to inflict onto our children an environmental nightmare in which salvation means affording Halliburton's platinum suite of "survival services." Einstein said that he did not arrive at his understanding of the fundamental principles of the universe through his rational mind. We'd better get irrational right now, y'all, lest the "sound of one hand clapping" ten years hence be the incomprehensible reality of a dying planet slapping our faces.
Hillary, Obama or some other "electable" candidate may ease off the throttle a bit if their triangulation calculus allows, but only my man Dennis comprehends the need to switch tracks and turn this behemoth around in time and find a way to survive the damage we've already done.
This is not a test. The countdown has begun in earnest. We took the track of least resistance and now we're on a downhill run toward the cliff's edge, even as we gorge in the dining car, enchanted by "Dancing with the Stars" on the complimentary Direct TV.
I love Ani, she's a great musician but she's looking for an example and she picks Dennis? Ron Paul has the greatest voting record in Congress. He defends the Constitution in every vote. How is Denis a better example? Simple: He's not, but Ani doesn't want to vote Republican. Just like Michael Moore.
Maybe it is because Ron Paul believes in Capitalism and the law of the marketplace rather keeping Faith Alive and Working Hopefully for Compassion and Democracy and the Unity of all People through benevolent pro-active Peaceful government. Forget about "party politics." Learn about DENNIS KUCINICH.
LOL. You talk about "Capitalism and the law of the marketplace" as if it is somthing to fear. It is the only saving grace of our country, and the only way we can save ourselves. Ron Paul also believes in the gold standard, abolishing the IRS and income tax, and ending the military industrial complex.
I don't think we should fear anything. Both the American system of freedom and concdrn for the general welfare are the saving graces of our country. We must keep both.
Even though Capitalism can become out of control then hurting smaller businesses the freedom of capitalism with folks like Dennis who speak out for Fair Trade is what makes a democracy great.
I appreciate both candidates. Still, I love Ron Paul most, his speeches educate.
Capitalism only gets "out of control" when fasciism enters politics and the government gets involved handing out contracts, monopolies, and subsidies. "Fair Trade" can only be "Free Trade" otherwise you hand government the controls. That's what we did, and that is how we got where we are today.
I hope everyone watching this will not only inform themselves on Dennis' policies, which are amazing, and not only vote for him, but encourage others to learn about him. HE IS ELECTABLE! Right now we can all subscibe to his You Tube account and encourage others to do the same. At the very least you'll learn a little more about a candidate not given fair media coverage!
You Rock! I'm sorry you have no chance, but, by putting yourself "out on a limb" (lol) you can at least help shape the issues and add pressure to Hil/Rudy to do the right thing...You're great. Peace.
I am voting for this man regardless of his so called chances. My view is, if we cannot open our eyes to the need for change, to realize he is the only candidate who represents change, then they may as well end up with the worst candidate, be it rudy, be it hillary. Because not voting for Dennis is pretty much just a sign of condoning more of the same.
You are right! What Kucinich needs, though, is your help. Subscribe to this You Tube account and help his message spread. Read about his goal to gain support on his myspace or you tube.
The point he makes is that we are indeed on one Planet, together and what we do effects everybody else on this globe. Waste. Greed. Fascism. Totalitarianism. All have repercussions globally. Do not confuse "One Planet" with "one World Government" as touted by the Neo-Cons.
We are One World! We are One Species! Think about it!
But you trust Ron Paul, who would sell our country to the corporations, stripping away such wonderful things such as student financial aid, medicare, ect. People who don't want to pay taxes seem to think that the unregulated market has people's best interests at heart, when if that were so, things like subliminal messaging wouldn't have needed to be outlawed. I would rather vote for someone who spends my tax money wisely than not have to pay taxes at all.
The founding fathers also knew that our officials would do whats better for the people if they were not financially motivated. Ben Franklin even proposed not paying congressmen at all, but they finally settled on $1500 a year as a suitable salary. Nowadays, their salary is $100,000-$200,000 a year.
Yet still they want more, and vote based on who gave them the most money. We should vote for who has turned down that money before, as Kucinich has.
You think Hillary, Edwards, Romney, Rudy et al are in it for the 200k salary?
Don't get me wrong I like Dennis, but he and Paul are very rare exceptions. "Well intentioned" programs almost always serves as a front for the crooks. ex. Big pharma are the overwhelming winners of the prescription drug program not the taxpayers.
The sooner the public wake up to this, the sooner we can end the wholesale looting by reducing the feds back to constitutional levels.
Why waste your vote on a candidate who is considered "inevitable"?
Vote your principles, and maybe show those other candidates what the Democrats really believe in. And in my mind, Dennis is the only one who represents what we truly believe in. The rest are owned by corporations.
well Kucinich is a great candidate, but not every other candidate is owned. Gravel is not paid for either. Granted, Kucinich still is a slightly better candidate then Gravel.
i agree mathguy. Once again the media silences the truth. They are the ones that pick and choose who they think is worthy. Even in utube debates they picked the questions. We need to let ourselves be heard and inform the media we want equal representation! Of course that will never happen unless we elect Kucinich in 08
We need to get behind Dennis and raise at least as much money IN ONE DAY as the other side raised for Ron Paul (more than $4 million). That will get the media to wake up about Dennis. It's unfortunate, but money talks in our society. That is what will get the media to take Dennis more seriously.
Shall I help by lying? Kucinich is an old time politician who focuses totally on his message and not on communicating that message. Today you need to inspire the people who do not agree with you, not just make those who agree with you cheer. Unfortunately, Kucinich is more of a cabinet member than a president. He's got great ideas, can get things done, but not a very public kind of guy.
Ashamedly, the American Voter has been conditioned by T.V. and is bedazzled by big boobs and bright teeth than any substance of message.
It would be productive for Dennis to hone his "Razzle-Dazzle", for sure. Or we could snap the Voting public out of it's comatose daze? That's a long shot!
Till then, we MUST share our views and opinions individually and in small groups with our peers. Our credibility goes a long way.
If Kucinich cannot even communicate his ideas well to those who are most likely to agree with him, Democrats, how good of a diplomat will he be to countries, like Russia and Iran, who are least likely to agree with him? How is he going to convince the other side of the aisle to follow him as well?
The president is as much a figurehead as anything else. Kucinich cannot communicate well.
Obama can do all of this. Lets deal with politics as they are, not as you wish they would be.
The President is a figurehead, and I would rather the World leaders respect us for our integrity than for our charisma. If you look in history the most charismatic leaders were the worst, because they could get the public to blindly follow, Hitler was considered a very charismatic leader.
The role of the President isn't to get everyone to agree with him. We are supposed to be a democracy, not a charismatic dictatorship.
I think the Republicrat duopoly has a firm grip on Washington, US politics is screwed anyhow. However, i do believe Kucinich means well and unlike most (aside from Ron Paul) he is willing to say things no one else has the courage to...namely the truth!!
Imagine a Kucinich-Paul ticket where we can get back to honest debate over ideological differences and find a middle ground. THAT'S bipartisanship we need. Focus on American, bring the troops home, and stop making more enemies around the globe!!

you can be concerned for the general welfare through means other than a wasteful and corrupt federal government. Ron Paul is the only rational choice.
Goatkop25 4 years ago
goat RP is the typical republican redneck candidate. He follows in the footsteps of his other fellow Texans. bushit, cheney, delay, cornyn. He wants to eliminate Gov. to control the ppl. DK wants to put gov. back where it should be WITH and FOR the ppl
Dennyc52 4 years ago
i'm for DK passionately but RP is NO bush. you gotta be fair.
quietsheep 4 years ago
quietsheep. I did not say rp was another bush. I said look at some of the others that have come from TX. I live in TX and i know how these neocons stick together. I also work for the State of Texas and am a union member so i get a little different perspective. Unfortunately this red state = rednecks. RP is no different. All the above are his buddies
Dennyc52 4 years ago
i'm not from texas so i can't speak from personal experience. i do know that Ron Paul has an outspoken hatred for neoconservativism, a doctrine of imperialism that he believes is contrary to what america should be. there are many texan paleoconservatives who can be republican but not of the cheneyist sort. bush isn't a neocon anyway. he's the figurehead for the movement, providing a link between the intellectual imperialism and the faith-based imperialism of evangelicals.
quietsheep 4 years ago
quitesheep Any one can SAY they hate neo-conservatism but he has his own neocon friends in the shrimp industry. He wants to do offshore drilling at the expense of the envir. He wants to have fed control over what a woman can & cannot do with her body. He wants birth control abolished. The main reason ppl are supporting him is because they believe it will cut their taxes. The ppl who will get the biggest breaks r once again corps. of course
Dennyc52 4 years ago
but the corps are not the ones supporting him. i haven't looked into his woman's health rights really (though i believe they are more nuanced than you propose) but the point is that none of this makes him a NEOconservative. it makes him someone who i wouldn't want to be president; but the word neoconservative gets tossed around too loosely. anyway, you could just look it up in wikipedia or something instead of listening to me. kucinich 08

The only thing I don't like about this is Dennis's last statement..."One World" with a fist. That stands for One World Order of which we do not want. I was very disappointed about this. I was hopeful that he was a decent man. I liked what he had to say until the fist and the comment. Sad...Very Very Sad!
mayd4tv 4 years ago
Fist??
Peace

How is Dennis a better example than Paul?
Well they are both against the war and staunch defenders of civil liberties.
Kucinich has been poor and maintains empathy and compassion for his fellow human beings. Thus he is for a living wage, free health care, education, and affordable housing for all Americans. Ron Paul is a libertarian and clearly opposes national health care and all government services except military and police. Big Difference!
Peace and don't forget to donate.

Fuck "electability." I elect not to inflict onto our children an environmental nightmare in which salvation means affording Halliburton's platinum suite of "survival services." Einstein said that he did not arrive at his understanding of the fundamental principles of the universe through his rational mind. We'd better get irrational right now, y'all, lest the "sound of one hand clapping" ten years hence be the incomprehensible reality of a dying planet slapping our faces.
toddlerh 4 years ago
Hillary, Obama or some other "electable" candidate may ease off the throttle a bit if their triangulation calculus allows, but only my man Dennis comprehends the need to switch tracks and turn this behemoth around in time and find a way to survive the damage we've already done.
toddlerh 4 years ago 2
This is not a test. The countdown has begun in earnest. We took the track of least resistance and now we're on a downhill run toward the cliff's edge, even as we gorge in the dining car, enchanted by "Dancing with the Stars" on the complimentary Direct TV.

I love Ani, she's a great musician but she's looking for an example and she picks Dennis? Ron Paul has the greatest voting record in Congress. He defends the Constitution in every vote. How is Denis a better example? Simple: He's not, but Ani doesn't want to vote Republican. Just like Michael Moore.
Foslopac 4 years ago
Maybe it is because Ron Paul believes in Capitalism and the law of the marketplace rather keeping Faith Alive and Working Hopefully for Compassion and Democracy and the Unity of all People through benevolent pro-active Peaceful government. Forget about "party politics." Learn about DENNIS KUCINICH.
terry 4 years ago 3
LOL. You talk about "Capitalism and the law of the marketplace" as if it is somthing to fear. It is the only saving grace of our country, and the only way we can save ourselves. Ron Paul also believes in the gold standard, abolishing the IRS and income tax, and ending the military industrial complex.
Foslopac 4 years ago
I don't think we should fear anything. Both the American system of freedom and concdrn for the general welfare are the saving graces of our country. We must keep both.
terry 4 years ago
Even though Capitalism can become out of control then hurting smaller businesses the freedom of capitalism with folks like Dennis who speak out for Fair Trade is what makes a democracy great.
I appreciate both candidates. Still, I love Ron Paul most, his speeches educate.
apballard 4 years ago
Capitalism only gets "out of control" when fasciism enters politics and the government gets involved handing out contracts, monopolies, and subsidies. "Fair Trade" can only be "Free Trade" otherwise you hand government the controls. That's what we did, and that is how we got where we are today.

I am voting for this man regardless of his so called chances. My view is, if we cannot open our eyes to the need for change, to realize he is the only candidate who represents change, then they may as well end up with the worst candidate, be it rudy, be it hillary. Everything else before, that was great!!
But my heart sunk with the last two words.
Ron Paul 2008
kramlafup 4 years ago
The point he makes is that we are indeed on one Planet, together and what we do effects everybody else on this globe. Waste. Greed. Fascism. Totalitarianism. All have repercussions globally. Do not confuse "One Planet" with "one World Government" as touted by the Neo-Cons.
We are One World! We are One Species! Think about it!

RonPaul2008
kramlafup 4 years ago
But you trust Ron Paul, who would sell our country to the corporations, stripping away such wonderful things such as student financial aid, medicare, ect. People who don't want to pay taxes seem to think that the unregulated market has people's best interests at heart, when if that were so, things like subliminal messaging wouldn't have needed to be outlawed. I would rather vote for someone who spends my tax money wisely than not have to pay taxes at all.
enigma42x 4 years ago
And you know the people who would spend your tax money wisely? Please share.
Congress is occupied by crooks and liars. DNC and GOP differ only in their mascots.
The founding fathers foresaw the abuse which is why they written the very Libertarian Constitution they did.
If you want to change all that, at least have the courtesy to amend the document rather than just ignore it.
PhatPhing 4 years ago 2
The founding fathers also knew that our officials would do whats better for the people if they were not financially motivated. Ben Franklin even proposed not paying congressmen at all, but they finally settled on $1500 a year as a suitable salary. Nowadays, their salary is $100,000-$200,000 a year.
Yet still they want more, and vote based on who gave them the most money. We should vote for who has turned down that money before, as Kucinich has.
enigma42x 4 years ago
You think Hillary, Edwards, Romney, Rudy et al are in it for the 200k salary?
Don't get me wrong I like Dennis, but he and Paul are very rare exceptions. "Well intentioned" programs almost always serves as a front for the crooks. ex. Big pharma are the overwhelming winners of the prescription drug program not the taxpayers.
The sooner the public wake up to this, the sooner we can end the wholesale looting by reducing the feds back to constitutional levels.
PhatPhing 4 years ago
No what I said was they still want more.
enigma42x 4 years ago
you are missing the point he wants america to take a part in the world not try to rule it like g w bush.
sgtkicker111 4 years ago
And those 2 words hurt you so much because...?
Despite the fact that he didn't literally mean that, how would a literally united earth not fit with his entire vision?
eGavik 4 years ago
Why waste your vote on a candidate who is considered "inevitable"?
Vote your principles, and maybe show those other candidates what the Democrats really believe in. And in my mind, Dennis is the only one who represents what we truly believe in. The rest are owned by corporations.
jwlvs 4 years ago 3
well Kucinich is a great candidate, but not every other candidate is owned. Gravel is not paid for either. Granted, Kucinich still is a slightly better candidate then Gravel.
enigma42x 4 years ago 2
I'd like Gravel to explain his health care policy to me. The idea of "vouchers" is too convoluted.
jwlvs 4 years ago
well that's why I like Kucinich better.
enigma42x 4 years ago
Dennis is better, but Gravel needs to stop being excluded from the debates.
mathguy112358 4 years ago 3
i agree mathguy. Once again the media silences the truth. They are the ones that pick and choose who they think is worthy. Even in utube debates they picked the questions. We need to let ourselves be heard and inform the media we want equal representation! Of course that will never happen unless we elect Kucinich in 08
Dennyc52 4 years ago 2
We need to get behind Dennis and raise at least as much money IN ONE DAY as the other side raised for Ron Paul (more than $4 million). That will get the media to wake up about Dennis. It's unfortunate, but money talks in our society. That is what will get the media to take Dennis more seriously.
sketchgrrl 4 years ago 2
Could he be more awkward. Too bad it gets in the way of communicating his ideas
Toddo31 4 years ago
You are not helping
sketchgrrl 4 years ago
Shall I help by lying? Kucinich is an old time politician who focuses totally on his message and not on communicating that message. Today you need to inspire the people who do not agree with you, not just make those who agree with you cheer. Unfortunately, Kucinich is more of a cabinet member than a president. He's got great ideas, can get things done, but not a very public kind of guy.
Toddo31 4 years ago
Ashamedly, the American Voter has been conditioned by T.V. and is bedazzled by big boobs and bright teeth than any substance of message.
It would be productive for Dennis to hone his "Razzle-Dazzle", for sure. Or we could snap the Voting public out of it's comatose daze? That's a long shot!
Till then, we MUST share our views and opinions individually and in small groups with our peers. Our credibility goes a long way.
SPEAK OUT, AWARE PEOPLE! and do it NOW! DK'08!
Dutchoven08 4 years ago
If Kucinich cannot even communicate his ideas well to those who are most likely to agree with him, Democrats, how good of a diplomat will he be to countries, like Russia and Iran, who are least likely to agree with him? How is he going to convince the other side of the aisle to follow him as well?
The president is as much a figurehead as anything else. Kucinich cannot communicate well.
Obama can do all of this. Lets deal with politics as they are, not as you wish they would be.
Toddo31 4 years ago
The President is a figurehead, and I would rather the World leaders respect us for our integrity than for our charisma. If you look in history the most charismatic leaders were the worst, because they could get the public to blindly follow, Hitler was considered a very charismatic leader.
The role of the President isn't to get everyone to agree with him. We are supposed to be a democracy, not a charismatic dictatorship.
