  • I just saw this yesterday. some parts were boring, some others very entertainning. Well, whenever Bryce Dallas & Romola Garai were on screen it was entertaining, they are very charismatic, and good actresses, and I agree that they look alike a lot. Also Alfred Molina and the girl playing Phoebe stood out.

  • -GASP- IT'S VICTORIA!!

  • I wish this movie was better. Definitely the weakest Branagh Shakespeare production. Still, Alfred Molina as Touchstone was perfect.

  • The trailer makes the film look like an archetypal rom-com. It is not....right?

  • this looks annoying, Branagh's tricks have lost their charm for me. I do love Romola Garai & I'm surprised how alike She & Bryce Dallas Howard look, are they playing sisters? I'll see it someday I guess.

  • @HoneyDollXO no they are cousins.

  • I must confess, I am not so wild about Branagh's films. I didn't particularly care for his Hamlet, and I find his other productions slightly tedious. Still, I love Romola so I think I will see this film. I saw a preview for this show at Stratford, and it's almost annoying because I know nothing will ever top it.

  • isnt rosalind supposed to be pretending to be a boy? that actress is very pretty but how could she pull that off? but i do really want to see it!!!

  • Buety provoketh thee quiker than gold

One of the most interesting books ive ever read, and im only in 7th grade

  • if it's any consolation, HBO Asia has been showing this film. Replays are:

    July 6 - 1:00pm

    July 8 - 10:45am

    July 10 - 2:00am

    July 10 - 4:45pm

    All times are HK/Philippine time.

  • Just gorgeous. I want to see it so badly!

  • Do you know if there's a way to watch the film online?

  • omg, this movie was totally as i like it.

it ran like shakespeare for dummies for me which was great bcuz i've never actually read this one. also, the scenery and cinematography was BEAUTIFUL and there were strong performances throughout.

now, do yourself a favour and freeze it at 1:14 to behold one of the most beautiful creatures i've ever had the pleasure to watch on screen :D

  • I wanna see it, it looks so good!

Shakespeare in Japan, now that's an interesting concept...

Keenneth Branagh is perphas the best director of Shakespearian films ever! Or at least the genius's reancarnation. XD

  • love this movie! I passed my first audition thanks to a part taken from this movie, when Rosalind says she is able to cure Orlando acting like his lover... I even brought a hat and I tied my hair to look like a guy!

  • Does anyone know if its on dvd or if HBO is going to put it on dvd? I love Branagh and this has to be one of his most beautiful and creative adaptations.

  • Adrian Lester! <3

  • oh this was sooooo good! i saw it last night

  • in uk cinemas from Sept 21 2007
