And I'd really like to applaud the writers for not making Booth look self-condemnatory after Hannah turned him down! Oh, I can't take the image of Brennan longing to hug him out of my mind, a hug would have been in place, I guess ...

Okay, he proposed and she refused, and it was all sad, but I couldn't stop laughing! I was literally shaking during the whole time while she said, 'we're not over; but we're over for now.' But the last three minutes were in equal measure tear-jerkers! I applauded Boreanaz's acting there, he really pulled off looking pissed, sad, heart-broken, without getting all sappy. He did appear on the point of crying, his eyes all red, and Bones there, speechless, as sad she can be, longing to hug him...
i just watched it was sad, i mean i was glad hannah will be disappearing soon but booth he was broken and mad, he was mad @ rebecca, brennan and hannah. it was reallly sad.
This is gonna suck! It will be the classic episode in which the guy is trying to move on, then realize he's not but still it's gonna propose ONLY to GET DUMPED by the almost-fiancé because she KNOWS, he's not over the other girl or, worse, because she is not in that path yet. Booth cannot break up with Hannah since he's too honorable, so the writers had to have Hannah backing off the commitment. BORING

First off, I must agree with bonesaholic, I too will be VERY upset. However, I doubt he's going to propose, he will realize he still loves bones because she'll do something silly (at least that's what I am hoping). Next's weeks episode overview on TV Guide.com says that booth and bones try to downplay the importance of valentines day, so I'm betting he breaks up with Hannah. If fox doesn't get them together soon, I'm just going to stop watching until all seasons are out on DVD!!!

Ok coming from a guy, Booth's face there at the end can only happen when you get rejected. That's a rejected face there, I feel for Booth there, but hopefully that'll make him realize that he still loves Brennan. Plus it seemed that he tried to hard to make a relationship work when Hannah seemed more liking the idea that she's banging an FBI agent. That's just me..
I think that Sweets proposes to Daisy. Booth gets freaked out by sweets' comment andbuys a ring for Hannah but then chickens out! Hannah will say something about not wanting to ever get married or something like that and Booth will start to wonder about their relationship! This will start to plant the seed of doubt in Booth's mind about Hannah.
Am I really the only one who hates really hates the idea of Booth proposing to Hannah? Even if she will say no. Sucks that he's proposing, but on the bright side, the fact that he's proposing because he's feeling insecure because of something Sweets said supports my main theory about the relationship with Hannah; he's just pushing himself to MAKE that relationship work because he's secretly certain that he'll just get another emotional kick in the teeth if he goes back to Brennan...

I loved this show because I´m a great Bruce Willis fan and this show only goes downhill because Cybil Shepherd was pregnant and almost the whole season 4 they had none screentime together. So producers stop postponing it. I want Bones and Booth together.

I'm not really sure why some people say that it will ruin the show if... no.... when Booth and Bones get together. These people always use Moonlighting as an example, but plenty shows since have got the characters together and been fine... Niles and Daphne in Frasier, Ross and Rachel, House and Cuddy seem fine also. I think it's not really giving the Bones writers enough credit to say that a relationship (that they have been hinting at since season 1) will ruin everything!
@caryn2525 I agree with you. A relationship will not ruin the show because it was hinted since the first season. It seems like the writers wrote the show almost promising that Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth were going to get together. It would be foolish of them not to continue it and entirely stupid on their part.... :)

It should be like this: Booth proposes to Hannah, she says yes - know i sound insane, but hang on!! the good stuff is coming now! - and they are about to get married. Sweets talks to Booth about it, because Sweets is not sure that he's making the right decision. On the same night, Booth and Hannah go out, because it's the night he wanted to propose to her. But because of the conversation with Sweets, he ends the relationship instead. And later he tells Bones that it was because of her.. :-))

This IS very true to Booth's character. He just now admitted to himself that he still harbors feelings for Brennan yet he isn't a heartless jerk. He still loves and feels obligation to Hannah. When Sweet's says he hasn't fully lived his life, in his drunken stupor he buys a ring. Ok coming from a guy, Booth's face there at the end can only happen when you get rejected. That's a rejected face there, I feel for Booth there, but hopefully that'll make him realize that he still loves Brennan. Plus it seemed that he tried to hard to make a relationship work when Hannah seemed more liking the idea that she's banging an FBI agent. That's just me..

I think that Sweets proposes to Daisy. Booth gets freaked out by sweets' comment andbuys a ring for Hannah but then chickens out! Hannah will say something about not wanting to ever get married or something like that and Booth will start to wonder about their relationship! This will start to plant the seed of doubt in Booth's mind about Hannah.

u no everything booth does is cause of sweets, last season booth pushed brennan to have a relatonship wit him, she said no, the next ep he tells sweets he got a date & is moving on, then 2 show sweets hes over brennan he tells hannah bout them in the past, now hes proposes cause of sweets.

Sucks that he's proposing, but on the bright side, the fact that he's proposing because he's feeling insecure because of something Sweets said supports my main theory about the relationship with Hannah; he's just pushing himself to MAKE that relationship work because he's secretly certain that he'll just get another emotional kick in the teeth if he goes back to Brennan...
Here's hoping he sees sense before he does something everyone involved will regret, eh?

And I´m so tired to hear about the moonlighting effect. I loved this show because I´m a great Bruce Willis fan and this show only goes downhill because Cybil Shepherd was pregnant and almost the whole season 4 they had none screentime together. So producers stop postponing it. I want Bones and Booth together.

I'm not really sure why some people say that it will ruin the show if... no.... when Booth and Bones get together. These people always use Moonlighting as an example, but plenty shows since have got the characters together and been fine... Niles and Daphne in Frasier, Ross and Rachel, House and Cuddy seem fine also. I think it's not really giving the Bones writers enough credit to say that a relationship (that they have been hinting at since season 1) will ruin everything!

It seems like the writers wrote the show almost promising that Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth were going to get together. It would be foolish of them not to continue it and entirely stupid on their part.... :)

dont worry guys! booth and hannah are not gonna be together after this episode. I read from spoilers that in the valentine's day episode (feb. 17th) both booth and brennan r gonna be ALONE.
So either booth realizes that he loves brennan more than he could ever love hannah and breaks up with her OR he proposes to hannah but she says no because maybe she might have 2 go bac 2 afghanistan or she realizes that booth loves brennan more.

Oh and someone asked about the elevator episode. I read that there will be no Bones episode on March 3rd because of American Idol. So it seems we have to wait one week longer for that episode. :(

It should be like this: Booth proposes to Hannah, she says yes - know i sound insane, but hang on!! the good stuff is coming now! - and they are about to get married. Sweets talks to Booth about it, because Sweets is not sure that he's making the right decision. On the same night, Booth and Hannah go out, because it's the night he wanted to propose to her. But because of the conversation with Sweets, he ends the relationship instead. And later he tells Bones that it was because of her.. :-))

This IS very true to Booth's character. He just now admitted to himself that he still harbors feelings for Brennan yet he isn't a heartless jerk. He still loves and feels obligation to Hannah. When Sweet's says he hasn't fully lived his life, in his drunken stupor he buys a ring. Hannah is the obvious one to propose to at that point in this life, but we won't go through with it because he is an honorable man and knows he still loves Brennan. Chill out people and be patient!

@Maggybeth I think it IS very Booth-like. If you truly take his character into consideration then you will see that he still does love Brennan. I believe he just allowed that to happen this past episode, to admit it to himself. But he is an honorable man and obviously still have deep feelings for Hannah. In his obvious drunkenness he takes Sweet's comment to heart. Doesn't mean he loves Hannah more, just that he feels that she is the more secure option when it comes to marriage. He won't do it.

Okay, heres my take on it :)
Booth will buy the ring to prove the point that he can settle down with someone. He will have the ring and believe getting married to Hannah is what he wants. He is on the bridge and calls Hannah to meet him there so he can propose to her.... While Booth is waiting he will have doubts about the whole thing. He decides to decline, but then Hannah shows up( and sees the ring) He will then propose to her but she will decline.... Look at the pictures for this episode

Okay, Booth HAS to break up with Hannah this episode! Otherwise if he proposes and she says no, and then he comes crying to Brennan, it will tell Brennan she is his second choice-- and we KNOW Booth has always loved Brennan the most! The most logical way to end Booth/Hannah in a way that keeps Booth in character is for him to realize he doesn't want anyone else but Bones wearing that ring!!
