  • It's front wheel drive and it wheelied??? Explain?!

  • @MegaNickT Not really a wheelie... The front just lifted because of the tires blowing up of the speed. :o)

That went so fast that it might have seemed to be a wheelie but it isn't. :o)

  • one word........

    BEAST

  • I put a 9 turn in one of these for some figure 8 fun at our semi-local hobby shop... i blew up a nice set of tires... it was worth it though....

  • Thanks! :o)

  • hahahahaha, foam got owned by MambaMax. Excellent video...thanks for sharing.

  • belt your tires! that was sick though! haha

  • Whats your gear ratio, like what pinion did you use? But awesome power ^^ i have the mamaba max 5700kv too and 4600 kv =)

  • @otoakki

I kept everything (so also the gearing) original.

Only changed the motor and ESC.

    My MambaMax is a 5700kv. :o)

I did put a 3S lipo on it!

  • ha ok

  • Where did u learn to tweak your engines for such an incredible output?

  • @wozaminibuyrc

    At home! Hahaa, just kiddin'.

In fact there was nothing to tweak. I just put in the MambaMax, a nice 3S lipo and gave some gas...:o)

  • Omfg it wheelies! :O

  • Depends on the type of car and purpose. :o)

  • How come the electronics dont get ruined?

  • How do you mean? Why should it ruin?

  • never mind.....actually what do you suggest wich parts should i

change an a tamiya rc car?

  • can someone tell me wat the differance is between the monte carlo and the normal cooper or is it just the shell tat makes the price differance?

  • This car is a front wheel drive? So why would the rear tyre foam come off?

  • It is the front tyre that came off. :o)

Just take a goot look at the movie.

  • OK :)

  • how does the transmission and diff stand that sort of power

  • Hi,

Uptill now it held very well. Normally I'm not fond of Tamiya, but as to my surprise, this Mini keeps up with all that I put it trough.

I had the MambaMax in it for several months. Now I've put a 14turns brushed motor in it, because I like to experiment with the MambaMax in other cars.

Never broke a thing with the Mini. :o)

  • Nee, frontwheeldrive heeft ie.

Ik heb je een PM gestuurd.

  • dat is echt een coole auto

  • LOL

  • what type of motor is it cause i have a spektrum dx3.0 and i have a new receiver but i need a new 7.5 brushless and i cant find it on internet so do you know where you can buy it?

  • Hey,

    Groetjes!

  • damnnn it wheelies

  • Thanks!

  • ooooh wait til your mum sees that!! LOL Car looks good bro.

  • Thanks!

  • how did you changed your motor»?

  • How do you mean? I just replaced the original ESC and original motor with a brushless Mamba.

  • Brushless is over-rated. I got a HPI Nitro Mini 1/12 by the way... that will smoke that crappy battery toaster. Mine, when it shifts to second gear it lifts the front end. If I want I can do the same thing as you, but that is waste of power, adjust rear suspension so it will not bottom-out. Dyno numbers, max power means nothing if you cannot put the power to the ground.

  • You are absolutely right, but I enjoyed to give it a try, placing my Mamba in the Mini.

Outdoors it was lots of fun, with al that power. And the Mini handles it very well.

    Off course it is overpowered.

Now I switched back to a 19T brushed motor, which is nice for indoor racing.

  • You need to adjust the front servo arms... your tyres are going in diffrent directions

  • Do you mean at the point of beginning to accelerate?

The fact that the front wheel turns backwards for a fraction of a second, is because I use a sensorless Mamba motor.

When pressing to full throttle at once, the motor may turn in the wrong direction for a fraction of a second, because only when started to turn, the 3 phase ESC can determine in which direction the motor turns. If it turns in the wrong direction, it adjusts the rotationdirection immetiatly. :o) That's why sensored is "better"

  • Lock the front diff and you will get way better traction.

  • Thanks.

I know, but i won't be having the brushless engine on the Mini forever. So for better handling in quick and short turns i prefere to keep the diff unlocked.

However i'm considering a balldiff because it is adjustable. With a balldiff i can practically lock the diff aswel. :o)

    Thanks for the message. :o)

  • not true

  • How do you mean, rcpro?

I understand that a balldiff isn't the same as a spool or difflocker, but it comes close to the same working if the tension is set higher, isn't it?

  • hahah very nice.. :D look my videos
