After Goldfinger they start to loose their luster and you can't really tell one movie from the other, at least until Timothy Dalton regenerates the awesomeness in "The living Daylights." and then the Bond renaissance happens when Pierce Brosnan steps into the spotlight.

Nah, Craig cosmetically looked the most lean. However Connery walked into the part with natural athleticism. Craig, before he got the role thought "oh shit, I'd better get into shape". Whereas Connery was a bodybuilder who had studied martial arts and movement... and it showed.

Props to the Craigster though, he has worked hard.

Definitely Lazenby. He was the only Bond to have been in the military (special forces no less), and trained extensively in the martial arts. Lazenby would kill any of the other Bond actors in a real fight. Too bad he couldn't act.

These fights are muh better than in the new films. They're trying to make Bond like Bourne and it isn't working. These old fights might appear staged and less realistic than the nw films but they're much better to watch. I don't mind less emphasis on gadgets now, but Craigs films miss the proper Bond qualities: A rich super villian, threat of global war, a good henchman, a fantastical bad guy base.

Casino Royale is a good film - if you view it as a stand alone movie. QOS was terrible, with Bond darting around the world, no proper super villian or henchman! The only Brosnan film I watch is Goldeneye - it was the last of the classic Bonds IMO.

There are some good fights in 'YOLT' but the fight with Hans is pretty weak. For one thing, Bond walks right into the first punch. Then, he tries to run away and falls down just before tossing Hans into the water.

The fight with Hans was more realistic than the fight with Oddjob. Bond was outmatched but was able to hold out for a time with his judo skills. Oddjob's invulnerability is,of course,quite fanciful.

You Only Live Twice was very famous because it feature the first Bond film in Asia, Japan to be specific. Ronald Rich (the guy who played Hans) was one big dude though, he stood at 203cm (6'8") and weight like 270lbs. Still funny how Bond just walks right up to Hans and gets punched in the face lol.
