This is a great game for Atari, but it just goes on forever. Eventually the ghost reach a maximum speed and nothing really changes.

Yeah, its true that it repeats, but games of that era were like that.

Scores were more relevant back then, as they made up for any lack of depth or variation, though obviously, if you could survive at maximum speed/difficulty, you could push such games around the clock.
