  • watch dhani's hands ... his father's hand's ... so fluid and ringo ... ringo is THE MAN who stands ... and jams with clapton ...kool ... so kool

  • and billy ...

  • Is that Jim Horn (from John Denver's band) on saxophone?

  • awesome

  • as soon as he starts talking about george, dhani's face goes like...so down :(

    i love this song though!

  • !! "Thanks for the jelly babies!" That's so awesome, didn't George mention he loved them and after that statement the band was covered in jelly babies in every concert? priceless. :)

  • haha yeah, good ol' ringo.

  • Great performance, Ringo in good shape and you can feel the love he had for George. Still I wondered why he didn't play more obscure songs like 'Wrack My Brain' or 'Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raimond)' and went for two of his standards which he's been playing for ages now. It seems to me that Paul really tried to make the most of his presence at this concert by learning a couple of songs he never did. It's still great to see Ringo perform in this shape though. Any thoughts on this?

  • to be honest ringo gave a much better performance than paul though i didnt like any of pauls songs

  • well the something version is a piece of beauty got to love the ukulele :)

  • I think that Photograph was absoutly appropriate considering that George wrote it, and, as Ringo said, the meaning changed.

  • Exactly. Both remaining Beatles did a good job - no Macca showboating, simple songs sung well.

  • i think ringo sang his songs because he doesnt have a very wide vocal range, as he said once before. plus, its not like either song didnt have a meaning. right?

  • ringo!!! give me ur sgt pepper type magic carpet jacket to meeeeeee!!! ;D come to papaaa lol

  • goog lord...about 100 guitars on the stage. who's really plugged in and who's playing the air guitar? Looks like a lynyrd skynyrd reunion.

  • Im not very sure , but I think the boy who is playing the air guitar is the son of George Harrison

  • What a Brilliant Brilliant Group of Musicians... Spectacular concert, I got it on DVD its great. The end of the concert is fantastic

  • wunnnerful...

Richard Starky is one of the most underated band members of all time...Good to see your smiling face, I'm reminded of past times long ago. I am thinkin' ol George was a-smiling, too.

  • Could someone tell us who the guitarist who did a brilliant solo in honey dont is ?

thanks Ringo is absolutely FAB !!!!!!!

  • I'm about to cry!

    Love You George and Dhani!

  • Ringo, Clapton, Petty, and McCartney?

    Holy shit.

  • Perfect!Really good music, musicians, quality and sound! Thank you very much! 5/5!

  • miss george

  • STFU spacy, you ignorant cretin!

  • get the fuck out

  • spacy that is ringo is awesome

  • RINGO!

  • ringo vive forever

  • george R.I.P. we miss you..

    and Ringo..you are the best!!!

    I Love you..!

  • That was fukcing BRILLIANT..

  • all of "concert for george" is. i HIGHLY recommend it if you havent seen it. its so good.

  • well not all of it the beginings terrible

  • Are you talking about the Indian music directed by Anoushka Shankar?

  • RIP George

  • Ringo is awesome

  • Everytime I see your face,

It reminds me of the places we used to go

But all I've got is a photograph,

And I realize you're not coming back anymore

    I thought I'd make it,

    The day you went away

    But I can't take it,

Til you come home again to stay

  • I can't get used to living here,

While my heart is broke, my tears, I cry for you

I want you here to have and hold,

As the years go by and we grow old and grey

Now you're expecting me to live without you

But that's not something that I'm looking forward to

  • I can't get used to living here,

While my heart is broke, my tears, I cry for you

I want you here to have and hold,

As the years go by and we grow old and grey

  • Everytime I see your face,

It reminds me of the places we used to go

But all I've got is a photograph,

And I realize you're not coming back anymore

  • so beautiful song I like GEORGE WITH SO MUCH MUSIC and talent I WATCHED THIS TRIBUTE TO HIM ON TV AND TAPED IT IS FANTASTIC EVEN RABI SHANKAR WAS THERE AND YES HIS SONG IS A CARBON COPY OF GEORGE WHEN THE BEATLES JUST STARTED

  • Yeah ringo may george (and john) rest in peace

  • Dhani is a cutie =]. He looks so much like his dad.

  • It is a dame fantastic song i could hear it over and over again its good stuff

  • Brilliant melody by George.

  • I Love His Dance. He always Does It. Ringo Your The Man.

  • most excellent!

  • I love this song beyond belief. Always have and always will, but one observation about this video: Jeff Lynn is looking more and more like a Muppett...all that hair!!

  • Very nice performance of Ringo.

  • I love the head bob lol.

  • Wonderfull :)

  • EDIT:

thinking of the line "all i have is a photograph, and i realize your not comming back no more.", it makes me cry. i love ringo so much, its crazy.

  • thinking of the line "all i have is a photograph, and i realize your not comming back no more makes me cry"

  • The sax player was good, but I would rather hear a Clapton solo to honor George.

  • nice dance moove.. cool ringo!

  • I met Ringo.

  • was he nice?

  • this is a great song, i love it but someone once told me "proof that the beatles did drugs was the fact they let ringo sing"

  • George Harrison co-wrote this with Ringo.

  • Kisses to Ringo!

  • What a Beautiful song. It's great to see musicians get together an honor a great friend.

  • Great* xD

  • ooo YEAH ¡¡¡¡¡ that is TRue =D

    he´s GEAT ¡¡¡

  • This song is a clear proof that Ringo can perfectly sing..

  • Ringo can sing AND drum!

Sometimes he does it at the same time!!

Can any of you do that without a flat note singing to 1000 people or even more than that!

  • It brings a smile to my face, and a tear to my eye, to see all these people on stage having the time of their lives. George touched so many people, and sacrificed in no small way a real piece of his heart for all of us.

  • I wonder what Eric was whispering to Dhani there....and Dhani went "YEAHH!!"

  • thanks for the jelly babies?...

    he's a great showman =]

  • This guy is great in concert! Seen him a few times. He always comes with an "all-star" band, which adds to the show. Wonderful performer, and always a smart joke or two.

  • He still looks the same, I saw him recently in January, he looked so good.. He is still funny guy, awesome singer and drummer...

  • legend! thats all i have left of her - a photograph

  • guys ringo is a legend.. a great drummer. but people, really, he cannot sing. come on..

  • bullshit! compared to what? see it for what it is, not what you think it ought to be.

  • So you think Ringo can sing?

  • Oh he can sing and he is a good singer too! I love his voice, perfect to this song and many other songs like Yellow submarine, With a little help from my friends, Octupus's garden and so on.

So I have no idea what you mean by that but sure you are allowed to have your own opinion.

  • he doesnt have a great voice but he is better than the avgerage person at singing.. do you think his voice is nice sounding like paul's or johns? clearly ringo can't sing like them..

  • I don't think we should compare them all just because they were Beatles, they are three different musicians. But yes, their voices are stronger and they are better musicians, I will say that. But I prefer Ringo to many other artists.

  • fair point, they are 3 different people.. but.. if ringo was not ever in the beatles.. do you think he would have gotten a record deal? i doubt he would of got discovered...

  • I have no idea if he would, I hope so but he was discovered. He was a drummer in other successfull bands in Liverpool before the Beatles and he was good enough to join them. He has taken alot of crap because he didn't write many Beatle songs and was not as talented as the other ones but he was a big part of the Beatles and they were lucky to have him wich they would probobly agreed on.

  • He would probobly not be as famous though and perhaps neither of them would be if it wasn't for The Beatles!

  • Ringo is an amazing drummer.. and when i say discovered i meant if he were a lead singer in a band.. not a drummer.. he is an amazing drummer, and yes he was the last member to join the beatles.. he left a band he was in to join them..

  • Well let's just say he's a drummer who can sing, at least I think so and we will never really know how it would go for him if he had never joined the Beatles..

  • Yeah but Ringo was already famous when he was with ROry Storm and the Hurricanes!

    I LOVE YOU RINGOOOO!

  • big jimmy-bullshit-artist ... what the fuck have YOU done??? SHUT UP MORON!

  • It does'nt matter what the fuck i've done he can sing fuck all

  • big jimmy: Put down the whiskey bottle & try to write in complete sentences! You're making an ass out of yourself! Ringo Rocks!!!

  • Freedom!..Surrender The World!-I Mean RINGO STARR!

  • still here emma

  • No matter when I hear this song, I cry. Its a great song but has such meaning to me for my guy, who passed away many years ago. Its a beautiful song, its a sad song. But i just love it...... thanks for posting TheEdgeFan......

  • photograph always reminds me when i was a little guy living in skane in sweden,,, great tribute

  • Seriously? He's 67? I know he's old, wow. He looks great for his age. And I love how he dances when he sings.

  • Well this particular video is from 2002, so he's 6 years younger here... but yeah, I really think Ringo aged the best out of the four.

  • well john was still kinda young when he died, so we cant tell how he aged. but out of the 3 that lived a long time he aged the best.

    rip john and george

  • omg! i love this song so much n its so sad!

  • God!I love this song, it has such a deep meaning..

  • Is Ringo also 65?! :O

Looks way younger, and souds so too

  • 67.

  • This video is so bittersweet in so many ways, to see Ringo still going strong, the late Billy Preston, all of George's friends paying tribute and see George's beautiful son Dhani, that resembles him so much.

  • My favorite Ringo song of all time!

  • Before George died, I'm guessing it was about John. Now that George is gone it's about either one. But individual people can relate it to aspects of their own lives. I'm actually happy now cause of this song. It got me to break down and talk to my mom.

  • Everyone loves Ringo! The bandmembers always look at him and smile. He just brings that out in everyone. It's definately true about the song Photograph having such a whole new meaning now that George is gone. Sad.

  • Ringo Starr!!! Yeah!!! I'm going to see him in concert!!! YEAH!!!! FRONT ROW SEATS!!!!!! I CAN REACH OUT AND TOUCH HIM!!!! >.> As long as no one stops me...

  • I always loved the way Ringo dances during the songs!!! He just rocks!!

    R.I.P George,always be remembered!!!

  • you do have to love that about him; and his sense of humor, and also the staying power of his marriage to Barbara Bach.

  • Wow... this song is so fantastic, I just love it but I'm wondering what it was like for him to actually sing that... knowing what new meaning it had.

I personally think Ringo is fantastic :]

  • I liked George Harrison. A good friend once met him and he was genuinely charming and came back to chat to my friend after they had been talking for a while. Cracking song.

  • katmeat rest in peace george we love you always

  • The Saxaphone Always Says To Me A Woman Who Can Have Your Children!..(but whatever it's meaning now or then: like, The First Royal Family In Rock N Roll!)

  • Why did they throw Jelly babies at Ringo.

  • At early Beatles concerts in the US, they threw jelly beans at the band cause George made the mistake of saying he liked them. More Beatlemania craziness.

  • Quite right, but it goes even farther back to when they played in liverpool. They had the soft ones,we heard it did the same, but we had hard ones, not soft.

  • wonderful love the beatles since day one that tells u how old i am ringo is a great singer

  • Where the hell's Paul? He was in this concert. Why isn't he joining in, pLaying bass or something?

  • he was playing piano, look at some other vids of da concert... RIP George \/,,

    '

  • Paul comes out later.... after ringo finishes photograph and honey dont. the fans go crazy just hearing his name

  • RIP George

    You were great

  • It is even sadder to think that two of the performers at the concert Jim Calapdi and Billy Preston are no longer with us as well.

  • Randy on AI would have booted him off AI for being to pitchy. George Harrison has his name written all over this song.. same thing in Ringo's IT DON'T COME EASY. I really don't believe for a second that Ringo had anything to do with writing or developing this song. Even though Ringo's name is along with Harrison's name on the 45 for writting this song. White drummers can't dance. GREAT SONG.. love it

  • wow...Dhani looks just like his father

  • I love Ringo! I miss George! God Bless the Beatles! xx

  • Grate just Grate love it :)

  • My two boyfriends; Ringo and George's son.

  • Great song...Ringo can sing! lol

And Dhani and Clapton's little exchange from 1:30 to 1:35 made me smile...I can imagine them having some sort of joke at Ringo's expense. :D

  • What a celebration of life . I love Ringos dancing. Eric Clapton lost his son and Dhani lost his father. This must have been a good thing for the 2 performing together.

  • Rock on Ringo.. xo

  • Haha Clapton "They threw jelly babies at you!" - "Yeah... Thanks for the jelly babies"

And Beatles fan know what that was about :D

  • tell us...cause I don't remember.

  • that might be the last time that the two of the surviving beatles do a concert together. That goes for other people like Clapton ect.

  • I think this was Billy Prestons last concert. He was scheduled to go back out with Eric Clapton and died. EC is doing the Garden with Stevie Winwood.

  • Yes, what a band, what a night! (Absolutely Great and so sad at the same time)

PS. Who ever said that Richard Starkey (good old Ringo) couldn't sing one right note ...?!

  • PPS. And good one about the 'jelly babies'joke (which probably only real old Beatles Fans will understand)

  • Ringo always does this little moves when he sings only, as he was supposed to be drumming.

    :)

  • GO RINGO GO!!! TOO COOL

  • This song has so many meanings to so many different people , thats why i have always loved it ?

    Cheers

    Randy

  • Great musicians!!

  • i love his dancing

  • i love all of them!

  • yea ringo was born in 40 on july before john even he from october

  • I love this song! Great post! Love you Ringo, dance away!

  • The spirit of this video is spectacular. It was Ringo that had the most hits in a row after the beatles broke up. It's sooooooo

nice to see Eric,Billy and Georges son. I'd

make a serious effort to see Ring and his All Star band next time out. Peace

  • Oh come on Ringo's dancing is awesome!!

  • Indeed. I wouldn't worry about his dancing. He's celebrating the life of his friend here. That transcends all else.

  • muy buena cancion de george interpretada magnificamente por ringo y aparte un buen acompañamiento.

  • it doesn't matter if Ringo is a bad dancer!!! The Beatles are the number 1, forever!!!! and of course George !!!! Saludos From Coahuila Mexico!!! we love the Beatles too!!! good Rock!!!

  • Dhani looks like his old man...

  • Very nice tribute to George Harrison, legendary and often undervalued musician. Ringo seems genuine and kind.

  • I remeber hearing this when I was a little kid, and I didn't know it was Ringo and I really didn't know anything about the Beatles back then, but this always made me feel all warm and tingly all over!

  • i hate people arguing about the beatles, let them remain musical legends after that keep your personal opinions private.they were all great musicians as people well nobodys perfect

  • OK, Ringo is awesome, but the fact is - he can't dance....

  • Excuse me?

  • Well, I think that he can't dance. Although I really admire him, in my opinion he is not a good dancer.

  • You can think that but keep those kind of thoughts to yourself or ELSE! xD jk

  • Why????

  • Cause it offends me, did u know that he was the only one (beatles) who took an interest in dancing? so there

  • Hey, just don't get angry. You shouldn't attack people for their opinions, even though you don't agree with them at all...

    Respect please...

  • Must he be a dancer? I don´t think so.

He´s part of music history. And you critisize him on his dance style? Is it a little world you´re living in? greets.

  • And, the same for you....

I agree with you that he is part of music history.

He's one of my most favourite musicians.

But... I think what I want to!

  • He is in his 60's

  • reminds me of a book jesus the lizard

  • Ringo is still awesome !!! Saw him & his all star band---what a show !!! He is so Kool !!!

  • From 4:40 to the end of the video... ABSOLUTELY TRUE RINGO !!

  • Just lovely. Ringo is awesome.

  • As long as we still have great musicians like him, music is still alive

  • Hell, it makes me cry too...remembering my loved ones. Never take for granted those that you have around you.

  • AMEN !!

  • I second that. Sometimes it takes tragedy to make us realize how good we had it. It shouldn't be like that because then its too late. These are "the good old days."

  • I cry whenever I hear this song...I remember my loved ones esp my parents who passed away. Yea, only their photographs remain....the memories always linger. Memories that I cherished/behold forever. Thanks for your music RINGO...altho you were not given more chances to show off your talents. You made few songs that are great and very emotional. (+10)

  • I was part in ousting a dictator. I spent a year as political detainee as a consequence. After that, another surfaces. Babae pa naman ang culprit at hindi pa nahalal. She said sorry for the Hello Garci scandal, pero walang nangyari. Ang kapal naman ng mukha nya. God bless those who repent for their sins.

  • Boots, then you are Filipino.I grew up from Marcos regime. He wasnt very bad after all(I dont know if youll agree with me)compared to his successors.Blame Madam Imelda.During his first term,we had good economy,we were only next to Japan.I dont know if U remember that CANCUN SUMMIT in Mexico? It was Marcos who represented the Far EAST-after his speech..all the leaders had standing ovation. You know Macoy was an orator. He can talk for a whole day without reading any prepared speech.

  • Since Ringo is a part of the Beatles, if he didnt have the ability to compose/write a song instantly....then...John & Paul should have written for him in between. The two had written for PETER & GORDON; BADFINGER, GERRY LEWIS etc. Why didnt they give chance for Ringo to have one song in every album they made. John and Paul were selfish then...self centered. Both were genius...but they should have made aongs for Ringo too or give him chance to show his talents.

  • Eric Clapton is one of if not the best guitarists EVER!

  • Ringo is the man and young Dhani boy is a chip off the old block

  • Ringo's comment on the way the song meaning has changed certainly gives one pause. Beautifully done, and he and George seemed like such good friends. Great performance by Mr. Starkey! (and everybody else on that stage. Absolutely brilliant!)

  • does anyone know if there is a way to download this recording of the song? it's so much better live than the original

  • It's funny, but as I grow older I'm more drawn to the music of the Beatles. Ringo has always seemed like a good guy..very sincere, it seems. And, this song...this song...is so beautiful. I don't need VH1 or MTV when a good song comes on: I can close my eyes and play my own video..

  • Wow, Dhani Harrison, is a best kept secret. Didn't know any of George's offsprings... Does he ever look like his dad..!!!
