Great Song from the great album "Running in the family" (1987). When i was 15 i listened to that album over and over and i still like their music. Have all their albums including the latest "Retroglide" (2006)
That this Vid was taped in Paris is no coincidence.
For some reason, the French were really mad about Level 42. I was living there when this was on the charts and there was not a record collection of anyone - and I mean anyone - I knew that did not include "Running in the Family."
Love the song...mark's voice is really great not too overpowering has some soothing feel to it, the back up was also very good it blended well w/ Mark King's. I wonder who does the back up. "Children say..."
Sounds like the version of the song from the album "Level Best", instead of from its native album "Running in the Family." The version from RITF is better, in my opinion, but I wouldn't dare turn this version off.
TY so much for posting this! I was on vacation in England summer of 1987 and this was so popular! I had just graduated from High School that year and listening to this really brihngs back terrific memories!
Great song. Like any Level 42-song. Great band. I miss the 80's...

The vocal compliment betwix Mark King and Mike Lindup is rather akin to Maurice White & Phillip Bailey of EW&F I feel...

1:20 Who is that young girl? Is she a well known actress today?

I believe I saw in an interview once that she is Mike Lindup's niece. Don't know what she's doing today.

Gran banda . . . Mike Lindup con unos de los falsetes más grandiosos del Pop-Rock y brillante tecladista
En estos tiempos Level 42 era un furor al igual que las pelis porno de Nina Hartley - yes !!!

Believe it or not, Mike Lindup sung all the high and low parts. He's got a great voice. They double tracked his background vocals

This was a fun vid to watch and probably to make!
Well you knew what I was saying
But did you know what it meant
When you saw the look in my eyes
Did you know it was HEAVEN sent
