  • Great song. Like any Level 42-song. Great band. I miss the 80's...

  • awesome, i have this cassette tape somewhere lol

  • Hey LEVEL...come back, please!!!

  • The vocal compliment betwix Mark King and Mike Lindup is rather akin to Maurice White & Phillip Bailey of EW&F I feel...

  • Johnny, remember how much I loved Mark King when I first saw their "Something About You" video?

  • She's got a football casuals/hool scarf on ;^)

  • 1:20 Who is that young girl? Is she a well known actress today?

  • I believe I saw in an interview once that she is Mike Lindup's niece. Don't know what she's doing today.

  • Great Song from the great album "Running in the family" (1987). When i was 15 i listened to that album over and over and i still like their music. Have all their albums including the latest "Retroglide" (2006)

  • Merci c'est du très beau spectacle. BRAVO

  • Memories of a past life...

  • Gran banda . . . Mike Lindup con unos de los falsetes más grandiosos del Pop-Rock y brillante tecladista

En estos tiempos Level 42 era un furor al igual que las pelis porno de Nina Hartley - yes !!!

  • Phil Gould.... What a great -underrated-drummer!!!

    Love this song...

  • who was the Spurs player who looks a bit like the black L42 singer?

  • Chris Hughton

  • chris houghton

  • That this Vid was taped in Paris is no coincidence.

For some reason, the French were really mad about Level 42. I was living there when this was on the charts and there was not a record collection of anyone - and I mean anyone - I knew that did not include "Running in the Family."

What a brilliant piece of work.

    Cheers for the upload!

  • Love the song...mark's voice is really great not too overpowering has some soothing feel to it, the back up was also very good it blended well w/ Mark King's. I wonder who does the back up. "Children say..."

  • Believe it or not, Mike Lindup sung all the high and low parts. He's got a great voice. They double tracked his background vocals

  • This was a fun vid to watch and probably to make!

Well you knew what I was saying

But did you know what it meant

When you saw the look in my eyes

Did you know it was HEAVEN sent

  • 7in version, no.2 on my nokia playlist (most played ) out of 1,000 tracks on it...

  • Plattsburgh NY 84-88 was the jam!!!

  • Lol!

  • I like this song, unfortunately, this band never had ever come make a concert, in my country, Chile.

I would like have their CD's.

  • Level 42 put out some great tunes ...this being one of them.

  • i must agree with bdub24j a clearer voice than this is hard to find these days they , and still it brings back memories

  • This truly IS a great song (and video) and a will always be one FANTASTIC BAND: Level 42 FOREVER!

  • One of my favorite L42 songs & videos. And Mark is such a ham...and a beautiful one @ that!

  • a dominant male is a beautiful sight

  • Everyone from TheGodParticle to sstuntmanchuck gets a thumbs up from me!!! A great song indeed! I sure miss the 80's.

  • This song takes me back to a time when you had fun being a teenager I msaw them live at soldiers field in chicago they opened for maddonna

  • brings back all my childhood memories of 87.

  • Wow I discovered this song today on the radio. It's a miracle that I heard it, because this is an amazing song!

  • Such a clear and distinct voice. Loved this group.

  • Sounds like the version of the song from the album "Level Best", instead of from its native album "Running in the Family." The version from RITF is better, in my opinion, but I wouldn't dare turn this version off.

  • First time i heard this was ina hifi shop in Plattsburgh NY and loved it since 86

  • TY so much for posting this! I was on vacation in England summer of 1987 and this was so popular! I had just graduated from High School that year and listening to this really brihngs back terrific memories!
