A flash mob is just a group of people doing the same thing at the exact same time. Some take a lot of practice. :)

I hate how people are always complaining here that there's no point since not that many people were there to witness it. Why's that? Are the flash mobs just for big cities and great crowded places?

I think what makes these smaller ones great is that they were done by a group of people who did something TOGETHER just for the sake of it and for the people present, no matter how many people that is!

This also creates hope that one day I'll see one and be completely clueless of what's happening :)
