My synth does nice stringy chorus sounds which would be super with this. I'll look into the ones you mentioned. There seem to be lots to choose from. What's the MXR like? Do you need another plug socket for phasers or do they have batteries? (I'm running out of places, the synth's plugged in beside TV, DVD and Xbox) Can you do whooshy sounds of crashing waves/gale force winds with them? It would be good for sea songs like the Skye boat song, Blow the wind southerly and for Sci Fi stuff.
If these phasers are designed as pedals for guitarists, do they have to be pressed down to keep the phasing going? I would like to try one with my synth. The synth is on a low coffee table, I must kneel down to use it and can't press with my feet! Are there ones you can just have beside you on the table and that sounds good but isn't too expensive?

@Laura041974 Mxr phase 90 is good, and have 9 volt batteries; you can made that sounds, what synth you have?

@Laura041974: electroharmonix nanostone or behringer vintage phaser used with a very little mixer and you can dose the effect too !
