Now Islam is the Koran and Hadiths together, NOT just Koran. Muhammad's wives are considered by Muslims to be the mothers of the faithful, so as far as alot of believers are concerned, to be good Muslims they are obligated to follow the example that was set.

Actually if you know anything about the UK, then dress code is not entirely free, it is however fair as all people have to obey the same laws. In shopping malls, banks, etc it is illegal to cover ones face as such clothing is used by shop lifters to hide their identity and these people are the kind to wear any kind of clothing to hide who they are so the Burka is not excused and normal people can not wear hoods up in shopping malls either.
As the point was about Pat Condell's speech, and Pat is English then the point is entirely justified and your debate here is not to ban the clothing out-right but that where it violates the law (and it does), the bans on such clothing should be enforced. The law doesn't apply directly to the burka but to any clothing style that masks the face, including hooded clothes with baseball caps.

In the UK any case where anybody has claimed that they should be excused from the law for religious reasons is generally just thrown out, it has no merit and the 1st amendment should not be involved here. It is not explicitly prescribed in the Koran to wear the burqa, but a number of verses can be, and have been, interpreted as such. Also, one of the Hadiths explain that Muhammad's wives wore burqa's. Now Islam is the Koran and Hadiths together, NOT just Koran. Muhammad's wives are considered by Muslims to be the mothers of the faithful, so as far as alot of believers are concerned, to be good Muslims they are obligated to follow the example that was set.

The group that has to date committed the maximum number of suicide bombings were the terrorist group - Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka. However, Islamic studies I find to be a boring subject... effectively when studied well enough, the evidence is presented but denied by Muslims that the Koran was a standardized text written by men 150 years after Muhammad's death and is subject to both political corruption and Chinese Whispers. Actually if you know anything about the UK, then dress code is not entirely free, it is however fair as all people have to obey the same laws. In shopping malls, banks, etc it is illegal to cover ones face as such clothing is used by shop lifters to hide their identity and these people are the kind to wear any kind of clothing to hide who they are so the Burka is not excused and normal people can not wear hoods up in shopping malls either.

As the point was about Pat Condell's speech, and Pat is English then the point is entirely justified and your debate here is not to ban the clothing out-right but that where it violates the law (and it does), the bans on such clothing should be enforced. The law doesn't apply directly to the burka but to any clothing style that masks the face, including hooded clothes with baseball caps.

In the UK any case where anybody has claimed that they should be excused from the law for religious reasons is generally just thrown out, it has no merit and the 1st amendment should not be involved here. Because the law does not exist against or for religion, in fact the very act of giving this exception is what violates the 1st amendment because that is a non-secular ruling which is what the 1st amendment stands against.

But conscientious objectors are excused from military conscription on these grounds, Moslems and Jews can be excused from working on Saturday, etc. These exceptions work best with small groups. A large minority that refuses assimilation has not been a problem. The UK's is one of an immigrant generation.

Further to this. Those founding fathers of the US were righteous enough not to just put up opposing laws to ban or outlaw religion. Instead Religion is allowed in the US but the Government must remain entirely Secular... this is the meaning of this Amendment and is not to protect or defend religion at all, it also is not to oppress it, however to not oppress does not mean to exempt it from the law. Simply this statement is Secular and so as I said the previous ruling violate this amendment.

'they' would be what we call terrorists,
and their grievances, come from western state terrorism, and funding for protecting dictators. or client states as they are known. hegemony in other words, supporting wars, attacking countries protecting people from international courts of justice. human rights issues and overthrowing governments. sanctions killing the poor double standards hypocrisy. any warcrime Israel commits is a crime of the USA..

I think if you took some time to research your point you would find that those are excuses that you, and westerners like you have the luxury to assume.
Read some Sayyid Qutb for some insight into what bugs extremists about the west. It has less to do with politics and more with western excesses and modernity.

In 1982 he stands a front burning towers in Lebanon and decides,' we should burn their towers', yet we find him in 1986 singing the praises of americans and working with them to destroy the "godless communists".
