  • perfect! very very veryyy goood! the best, opinion by an italian boy

  • i play guitar and mainly listen to thrash metal and metalcore but i love djembe's sooooo much, african drumming rules

  • how long do you think it would take to get this good on a Djembe..?

Uber Repect to the guy playing! :oD

  • @multimattermedia -bongos are actually quite easy to get fun beats like this..its not hard to make a bongo sounds good..but this guy is uber good

  • @multimattermedia that's on you but if you play to music or with someone else on percussion as well you'll get good fast. I'd recommend going to a drum circle lots of fun and if you're serious about playing take lessons at a community college they're pretty much free

  • completely awesome hang loose

  • GREAT!!!!

  • coooool

  • PERFECT !

  • wot mic did you use to record this?

  • Very nice!!. You're quite good!.

What is the best Djembe to buy?. Are there some that the skin can be adjusted with a key somehow or do you have to undo all the leather laces?

    Thanks! :-)

  • The open tones on this djembe sound clean. Mine has a clang ring sound. Did you do anything ot yours to minimize that or do smaller drums have less ring to em? I have a 14'' Remo djembe fiberskyn 3

  • @123djneil pretty sure thats happening because its synthetic material...i have a remo and an authentic african djembe, and i have the same problem with the remo. it just has a snare sound to it, i think due to the afore said sythetic materials, and maybe something to do with the key tune

  • Awesome!

  • lol I wish I could get my djembe to sound like that.. but mine must be a different type... it has a higher sound when you hit the outside

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhh yaaaaaaaaaa that was awesome

  • Look at how he has the mic positioned. It is a condenser microphone and will deliver the best results for recording. Entry level mics start around $100. A very nice mic for the money is Audio Technica's (AT2020) which is $100.

You will need phantom power to make the condenser mics work. Play around with positioning the mic, but I would recommend about 2 feet away from the head of the drum.

If anything doesn't make sense, reply to me and I'll try to help!
