Thanks, but if i have it as login.php when i try to go on to the login.php in my internet browser, it says where would i like to save the file? not a page where I can log in? any ideas?

yea you need to run a apache server... you can google xampp and download it if you need help i can help you i work with php

yes but you have to make sure your webhosting site if it allows php

Well there is alot of mistakes like

login.html = wrong

it should be login.php becuase your using php format next the form action="index.html" when it should be form action="login.php" check to see if that works
