I can't tell you much about Atheism first off. I consider myself Christian but I do go to a Unitarian Universalist Church where all religions or lack thereof are all inclusive! I love it so much... If it was majority rule then Al Gore would have been President in 2000. It is not majority rule. It is a country founded on the idea that all people are equal and will be treated as such. This is how many Christians are these days. They will sit there and tell you how persecuted they are, and how their religion is a constant struggle. Then they tell you that they want to amend the constitution to allow children to be able to pray in school. But ask any of these people what religion they want their children praying for, and it will be Christianity. Not any other religions. These people don't want prayer in school, they want the power to dictate what religions people practice.
Anyone who criticizes another person not to be emotional or passionate, has lost their own passion.

Obviously, you are way wrong about that. The USA is not a "bunch of christians". A good percentage of them are perfectly rational, with a sense of empathy every bit as developed as that of other populations. It's just the jesus-shouters are so loud, and yes, they have too much power. What can we say but that they are an embarrassment. But we aren't "with" them, see.

Religion is designed to repress and control under the guise of securing its followers future. Thats why the powerful use it and the uneducated follow it. 'In god we trust' and and the Christian revival crap began in the 1950's to counter communism and provide troops who would die without question. It works.
