remember IF you have to use any rubbing alcohol MAKE SURE IT IS AS CLOSE to 100% as possible. closer to 100% the more pure it is the better chance on a microscopic level it doesn't leave any anything behind and cleans the gpu better.. cheers

what happens next? you put the thermal compound on the GPU then reapplied the heatsink?
and whats the best way to remove the thermal compound?

@billtamer Yeah re apply the compound then put the heatsink back on. Use either the artic silver thermal compound remover or some rubbing alcohol.

@evilcrow1001 Yes by about 4-5 degrees idle and load.
