  • as a matter of fact, this does work. but not every time some one gets referred they dont always refer other people so basically the amount of people getting referred dont run out that quickly

  • Just because it "works" i.e. you get your ipod, doesn't mean it's sustainable or that it can "work" forever for everyone... eventually someone won't be able to make 5 new referrals (I don't know if they allow you to count a referral to someone who has already signed up). This happens rather quickly in these pyramid-like schemes because, as described above, the number of people participating grows exponentially.

  • This is not sustainable, even if it is legit, because of the number of members required at each tier is exponential, and those at the bottom will always lose. If everyone at tier 8 (8 referrals removed from the originator, up to 5^8=390,625 people (in which case there are already 97655 in the scheme)) gets an iPod, then that means there are 1,953,125 people that have to find 5 suckers each.

  • So, assuming that everyone except for those at the last tier gets an iPod, there can be only 12 tiers before there aren't enough people in the world to contain the tier of losers. And, with the possibility of more than one originator, you run out of people faster. This should have been exposed for what it is, an illegal pyramid scheme (and might have been in the remainder of the segment, but that seems to be cut off).
