  • The courtroom example, although it makes sense, does not apply to this scenario, for 2 reasons. One: You would have to first convince me that I am under the jurisdiction of God. Two: You would have to convince me of the morality that ALL crimes deserve the same sentence: eternal torture. Three: You would have to convince me that an all powerful, all knowing, all loving being, would give eternal punishment for a bad act, but NOT give me eternal reward for a good act.

  • @eancarana Sure thing...but you won't believe or accept it. (1) You already know there is a God and which God. How? By creation and your conscience (See Romans 1). (2) The soul that sins shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). Sin is the breaking of God's Law (1 John 3:4) and all sin (Romans 3:23). (3) Don't forget God's Infinate Holiness in which He can't allow sin in heaven. Criminals that do a good thing are still criminals.

  • Have you ever told the truth? Have you ever given a gift? Have you ever looked upon a woman/man and not lusted? Have you ever told your god that you love Him/Her? What does that make you? A righteous, generous, loving, caring person.

  • @eancarana - A criminal walks into the courtroom, he's already been proven guilty, his sentence is about to be given and he says, but judge, I give a gift, I washed your car, I told God that I loved Him, I didn't lust today...and the judge says, "So what. Good deeds doesn't wipe away a criminal background."
