while i hated seeing my Cats get pounded, Nebraska fans are without a doubt some of the best in college football. Of course they are disappointed with the Huskers lose, they will still put that aside and say "good job" on the win.

Ever school has their assholes fans (all Mizzou fans) but for the most part, Nebraska fans, win lose or draw, are among the best.

PS: I also attended the 2007 game at Bill Snyder Family Stadium (because I LIVE in Topeka, Kansas) and was called a "moron" by an angry K-State fan after I jumped up to cheer for a recovered fumble to Nebraska's favor. This did not bother me though, because I know EVERY team has their share of bad eggs, and labeling the K-State fan community as a whole for one fan's comment is prejudice and biased. Go Big Red and GO BIG XII!!!

They also informed me that they were not at all surprised by my behavior, and since they go to EVERY KSU game, with Oklahoma fans being a close second, WE were their favorite team and stadium to visit. In closing, this was not intended to be a malicious or snobbish slap in the face to K-State players and fans. I believe this was a GENUINE class act and example of good sportsmanship by Nebraska, which was taken the wrong way by commenters on this video.

I went to the KSU game this season at Memorial Stadium. Before the game we went to Lazlo's to eat. There was a groupof K-State fans who were attempting to take a family picture at their table. I quickly jumped up and offered to snap the photo for them and after taking two pictures I promptly wished them good luck and shook their hands, saying "Welcome to Lincoln". They informed me that they were season ticket holders for 15 years and every other year they come to Lincoln and get treated well.

Why would a RED arm be offering high fives if this was meant to be classless? I was crying my eyes when I went to the 2001 rose bowl after the heartbreaking loss from Miami. I can vouch that the Nebraska fans left at the end cheered for BOTH teams. I know this may seem sarcastic, but I can speak for myself at least. Because I love the feeling of shaking an opposing fan's hand and wishing them good luck before a game.

I was at that game and after K-state scored some late TD's, the majority of Nebraska fans were saying sucks after the K S U wildcats chant. It started with the student section and at least one third of nebraska fans were doing it by the end

I'm a husker fan, but telling the team that just got beat down 73-31 "Good job buddy!" Is pretty fucked up. I'm proud of this tradition, but a simple applause for the other team will do just fine. It shows respect. People take this tradition too far. If I failed a test miserably and you told me, "Awesome job buddy! Keep your head up!", I'd kick you in the face.

I'm not trying to insult you, but i was there too and the fans around me were not offering a genuine anything, except maybe genuine hatred, you Nebraska fans talk up how nice you are to opposing teams and fans, but even my girlfriend who is from Nebraska was disgusted with the way i was treated for wearing purple that day. Dude not going to debate this with you. Numerous opposing coaches have remarked in past how well they and their teams have been treated by fans in Lincoln, i.e. Joe Paterno, B. Bowden and Mack Brown all made public acknowledgements of just how well they were treated walking off the field and not one ever mentioned that they thought it was anything other than a honest, genuine applause for effort given. I am sure you heard some vitriol directed at KSU and Prince regarding the Freeman issue

As I am sure CAllahan running the score up that day was in response to the Freeman recruiting saga I am sure you did see some NU fans that enjoyed given it to Freeman and Prince. But, that being said I think most people if they are giving applause and respect at end of game, it is genuine. I mean, it happens every game WIN OR LOSE! How can you not say its genuine if we are applauding the opposing WINNING TEAM? And we have done that lots lately.
