I think it´s not the graphics, but the fact you played this long time ago. Some memories are always present, like the moment we play this kind of revolucionary game.

Possibly but I do think it's mostly the graphics and sound effects. It's the same reason why I prefer Quake 1 to Quake 2 and 3 they've got much gritter graphics and sound effects. Doesn't mean the gameplay's better.

these levels seem so much bigger than they do in anniversary. I think it's cause the graphics are so clear now that you can see straight away what to do and where to go. In the old ones it was much easier to get lost, which added to the fun.

I think you're referring to the save crystals? They are used to save your game in PS version.

Because these old runs are from when I first started speedrunning and there have been many new TR1 bugs being found since this so thats why im re-doing it.

TRA is no match for the original. The graphics were better on TRA but everything else was worse. This leavel is awesome in TR1 with the T-Rex coming from the dark with that tune playing. Love the video and a truely fantastic fast play of this level.

Agreed. Anniversary had hardly any exploration to it and it was pretty easy to beat. I loved it though.

I can't watch this, too many memories! :( Lol! Anyway i think my best time is in 6 minutes 40 something...This level and Sanctuary of the scion are the best! Can't say the same about the Sanctuary level in Anniversary though...something missing, it was NOTHING like the one in the first TR. Anyone agree? Or is it just me?

Very nice video! One of my favourite levels in TR1, and ironically most hated in Anniversary. :(

And i have a question for you, this is gonna sound really stupid, but how did you manage to record from the PS1/PS2 to the PC?

I have a dvd recorder so i use blank DVD disks to record the game then i put the disk in my computer, and use a program that transfers it to AVI format for youtube, and thats how im able to upload it here. I have many more speedruns, all leves in TR1 and TR2 are on here, and im now working on TR3, almost halfway through it.

I use Magic DVD Ripper, you can search for it on google and download it. Thanks for subscribing! most of my vids i dont edit or anything so the quality does come out pretty good.
