@IGNsucks First of all, if you're trying to do FTL travel, then you're not "accelerating" the ship because it would require infinite energy to approach the speed of light. To accelerate an object of non-zero rest mass to speed of light would require infinite time with any finite acceleration, or infinite acceleration for a finite amount of time. This is why they distort the space-time around the ship instead.

the biggest problem the series had was that there were no great characters, SG-1 and Atlantis had extremely lovable and funny characters. Universe had none.. I’ve also didnt seen any of the great Stargate humor..SGU = Smallville Galactica United.Keep soaps and teenie crap and all that drama queen garbage out of my sci-fi.If you like that shit go watch Twilight! Hell get Onel,samantha and daneil on the communication device and they would have been on earth in the 4 episode!

If SGU was more like the other two shows it would still be on! For the most part fans of the other two shows didnt like SGU the ratings were horrible.It was A new Mission Impossible movie with no mission.if you replace all the fun/purpose/action/adventure with depression/lost/gay&lesbians drama, then SGU simply isn't part of Stargate

They took everything out of the other two shows that made them great and came up with SGU!!! Ok, I absolutely love this show more than it's predecessors, but one thing I realized is WHY THE HELL doesn't Earth just send Atlantis to go and get the crew of Destiny, or at least give them supplies and more men, after all when we last saw Atlantis it had a wormhole drive and three ZPMs.
