  • Thank you Bryan and martin!. Listening and looking at how you 2 play, gives me energy and a great feeling.

  • I've watched this video a lot. What was the context for this? Was this in a hall, or church, or a music school? What's the story here?

    Thanks guys!

  • Thanks! We were rehearsing for a concert to be held in a church sanctuary. We were taping so that we could have a listen to ourselves. Unfortunately, the footage of the concert itself didn't come out too well (the camera and microphone were too far away), so I posted some of the rehearsal tapes instead. Sorry, it's not a very glamorous story!

  • Both performances are really well done!! I still like the original better. It's hard to explain why, but it's really good. Great job!!

  • WOW. This is absolutely amazing. I grew up listening to ragtime (Joshua Rifkin playing Scott Joplin) and it moves me. I hope you guys know how awesome this is. Five Stars.

  • If you guys knew how much I watched this video, you might think I was crazy. I just love it.

  • You are the best!

  • Where can I get Willie The Lion Smith's version of The Maple Leaf Rag?

  • Martin picked that up off of Willie the Lion Smith's recording. As far as I know, there's no published arrangement.

  • Damn Shame! Do you know anyone who can ask him to transcribe it? Because if I can't get that recording, then I might have to use this, and I really don't want to.

  • @bixvenuti Great video,great tune.

  • Nice rendition, but what really blew me away are the great acoustics and sound. Also: wonderful technique (and a nice interpretation, although I thought it was a bit fast.. but I'm just a hack in comparison). Cheers!
