Cosmetic sponges work okay when applying makeup, but the other day I was at Ulta and the makeup lady was talking to my sister about her makeup routine. The makeup lady said that if you use a sponge to apply your foundation/concealer/etc., you are actually wasting product b/c the sponge soaks most of it up. She suggested that you use a foundation brush(like Ecotools) to apply your makeup and whatnot..or wash your hands with antibacterial soap and use your fingertips to apply.
